Topic: Soul Calibur 2 HD Online for Wii U!

Doods. I am disappoint. Why, you ask?

Because people are fighting for a Soul Calibur 2 HD Online release on the Wii U, and nobody around here is showing any kind of support for it. So I'm thinking... y'all are unaware of this. Because why wouldn't you support one of the greatest fighting games to come out for the Wii U? Even if somehow you are not interested in this opportunity of playing as Link in Soul Calibur 2 HD ... ONLINE... at least support it so that other people will get a hold of it?

Now, assuming that you ARE up to date with the news for Soul Calibur 2 HD, then you know that Project Soul mentioned they are willing to TRY and release it for the Wii U/Vita if there are enough demands. I quote their statement from a small interview they had not so long ago:

This is a GOOD reason to start backing up this game, even if you do not own a Wii U (like myself, unfortunately). It'll make it so that all of our beloved guest characters will make a return in the HD remix of Soul Calibur 2 (Heihachi, Spawn and Link). Just thinking about that sounds amazing, and it would be the greatest disappointment of the year if this game does not make it to the Wii U. Seeing as the Gamecube version of Soul Calibur 2 was sold the most... DUE to the fact Link was in it.

So how about it? Care to show your support? A link to a petition is in my signature, where over 1,000 of people have already given their approval for it. Either way, what are your thoughts on this?

I have signed quite some time ago. So I will NOT purchase the PS3 version unless i know for sure if it will come to Wii U. Plus imagine how many people playing as Link online.

I have it on the cube, it is quite fun, but I'd never play it if I bought it, not the biggest fighter guy.

The dev team is suggesting the fans to take action on their Twitter account at @Hoshino_Calibur

They mentioned that a port to the Wii U is not impossible, rather they wanna see more fan requests before they work on it. (Even though there's obviously a big audience that wants SC2HD on the Wii U) Additionally, the developers stated that some future, post-release content for the HD port on PS3/Xbox 360 could become available if the game sells well enough. So there's a possibility that they add Link to the full roster at some point, presumably when they get the green light from Nintendo.

Soul Calibur 2 is pretty much my favorite fighting game that isn't Smash Bros, so I'd love to see this.

You all probably don't want my opinion, but I honestly think a petition is not going to help. What they are looking for are more Wii U units sold. Anyone can sign a petition, but the only ones that would actually purchase the game on the Wii U are those with a Wii U, and not everyone with a Wii U cares about it.

Well they said they wanted people to give feedback. If this was based on nothing, I'd agree but I think a remake of a game from 10 years ago that was pretty popular on Nintendo back in the day, is far from the worst use of an online petition.
