Topic: Cubemen 2

I'm excited for this game. Comes out Sept. 4 2014. I'm excited for the custom map builder and sharing my maps online.

I'll be there. I want a character pack to make all my Cubemen look like the original Team Fortress Classic models...

I think I might pick this up. Looks interesting.

I think I'll get it too, the gameplay mechanics itself are interesting enough to pick up, also can't go wrong with up to 6 players for a strategy game.

LOVE this game. Pitch perfect real time strategy/tower defense hybrid. Can't think of a better eShop game to fire up on the Gamepad while you're pretending to watch cooking shows with your wife...

Does this game has local multiplayer (such as Swords & Soldiers)? I can only find network multiplayer.

Looks really cool. Haven't seen a review by this site but Nintendo Enthusiast gave it 9/10, with the main gripe being not enough people playing online, which he said wasn't the developer's fault. I'll prolly get it soon.

Why do tower defense games annoy you?

I don't think I've ever played a tower defense game because it sounds kinda' boring, unless you count Dillion's Rolling Western. BUT, I find this game to be great fun, and I've only played the first campaign. It reminds me of playing with plastic toy soldiers in the yard when I was a kid, and yesterday.

I was just wondering if there was an area TD games could improve that would make you more interested

I like Tower Defense games. But this one... well, my major gripe is that all units look the same until you zoom in very close (and wasting time regularly) just to see which tiny weapon the enemy units are holding in their tiny cubic hands. Other tower defense games have the comfort of units being distinguishable upon first glance at all times. Gameplay-wise it's a step backwards imo. It's slowing down my progress immensely.
Other than that it has all the features and content you'd wish for in a TD game.

I got it last weekend. I think it's pretty awesome. Quite a bit of content for $7.99. I think I will put 40 hours on this by the end of the year, which for me is a lot.
