Got mine for free when someone gave me their lot of SNES carts.

Cool I should get this for $1.50 too.

There are no mini turbos in the game but you can still power slide with the hop mechanic right?

@blaisedinsd You can hop and power slide, and I think you actually do get a speed boost if you slide for long enough.

I guess it's about time to give this game another chance.

No speed boost from hopping, unless you count better maintaining your speed through a tight corner as a speed boost.

The only boosts in this game as we know them are mushrooms and the zippers. And of course you can increase your overall top speed by collecting coins, a mechanic that just returned to the franchise after a long absence.
