Well, since I'll be hitting Metroid Prime Trilogy this week like the fist of an angry god, I figured it would be a good idea to post a "meeting" place for Metroid fans at Nintendo Life to gather help each other complete our unlockable collections!

Two years since the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, I kind of disappointed myself by only playing through the game once when it was released. (For comparison, I have completed Prime three times and Prime 2 twice.) At the time, I also didn't have an awesome forum such as this to trade many of my friend vouchers with, but now we all have that chance!

I believe all we need to get started is our Wii system codes, if it's the exact same method as Prime 3's original release. I'll go ahead and keep this first post updated with everyone's codes later once we get some replies. Good luck and happy hunting, oh and don't forget to have fun while doing it!

What's this friend voucher thing? I haven't got this yet (Though I want it).

Did you play Metroid Prime 3 at all? Trilogy uses the same thing: You can earn different colored "medals" during gameplay, which you can save up and use them to unlock art galleries, music, etc. from the Prime trilogy. The problem/challenge with earning Green "medals" is that you have to earn and trade Friend Vouchers to someone else on your friend list who is also playing the game, and convert them to Green medals. Hopefully, that same person you traded to will trade back, etc. Hence what this topic is for, to connect all of us easier for our trades! (Or use each other for personal gain, either or. )

I just added my console id to my sig. Although I've had my Wii since launch date 12:00am, I have no idea wtf I'm doing when it comes to "friend codes" and online playability. This is my first foray into it. My online playing experiences has really been limited to just Diablo 2 on the PC. Other than that, it's just for e-mail and porn, right? (ha ha)

Heh heh, don't worry. Metroid Prime Trilogy will be easy enough for "online" functions. Add our Wii system codes to your Address Book, then in MPT activate WiiConnect24 to "share" your information. The friends in your list who show up with white text have MPT save data. Earn friend vouchers by playing MPT, trade to us, etc.

Okay, lemmeh get this straight. By adding friends you get those green tokens? Annnnd, can you use a game-specific friend code instead of your Wii system friend code? I'd rather not add you all to my address book.

I'd like to participate. I put my Wii # in my sig. However, I am playing through the Primes in order, so it might be a while before I get any credits to trade.

Here's how I think it works: Someone else has to find a friend voucher first (while playing the game). Then they have to decide to send it to you. Once you receive a voucher from someone, you can exchange it in your game for a friend credit. Then you can use the friend credit to "buy" stuff in the extras/bonus section.

Looks like you have to use the Wii address book. There is no MPT friend code that I'm aware of.

If any of the above is wrong, someone please correct me.
