For sure. This was the game back in the day. I sometimes break out the SNES to play it. That will be cool if you can unlock Bill Clinton, Air Dog, Will Smith etc. like in the old NBA Jam and NBA Jam Tournament Edition. I was always the Bulls in NBA Jam with Air Dog/Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen or Karl Malone and John Stockton. I used to sometimes use that cheat code where you could dunk from half court, dang I miss those days .

Kinda surprised by the little love this game is getting but that is ok I'm still going to enjoy it.

I know, right. I figured more people would respond, cause this was a big title back in the SNES days. I'm guessing maybe they're just too young to remember it?

I am PUMPED for this game. I have been playing 2k6 by 2k and it is fun but I love the old style NBA Jam games over any other basketball game made to this point.

"From downtown!"

I dunno if the game will match up with the fond memories i have of the original two games (NBA Jam & T.E.)

I'm extremely excited for this one. I have the SNES cart and I played the crap out of it with my bros.

You my friend missed out and that is coming from someone that doesn't care about the NBA one bit.

Well I wasn't alive when it came out so that's why.

I have the original for Genesis, but still have no way to play it.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Really hoping they get online multiplayer into this. :3

nba jam was a classic back then, i remember being impressed by the little live action clip at the half time stats screen.
also, i loved the nba street games on the game cube. so, if the nba jam can improve on those games, were in for a treat.

I'm so excited for this. I love the original games, which I still have for my Sega Genesis.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

This is the type of game that should be an Arcade or WiiWare download. I don't think it's going to be worth $50-$60, but I'd be more likely to get it if it was a $10-$15 download. Then again, I'm not a basketball fan and if I want to play Jam (which even as a non fan, I found amazingly fun), I can pop in the SNES or Gen versions and not miss a thing by not having the new players.

I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.

NBA Jam is THE best sports game ever made. What makes it great is its simplicity - you only have four players on the court during the game and a player can control each of those players. There's none of this "it passed to the wrong guy" or "the computer controlled characters are never in the right place" like you get with other sports games. It can all be human controlled like you were actually playing a real basket ball game with three of your mates (albeit with the laws of physics bent somewhat).

I think this version of NBA Jam looks amazing. They seem to have captured everything that made the original so great - including the original teams and players. And yes, they have said it has secret characters in it too!
