@19 SonicMaster: If i remember correctly, Nyko either got sued or threatened with a suit by Ninty, since the design of Nyko's nunchuck accessory was EXACTLY the same as the standard 'chuck (i think i had even read that Nyko used some of the same plastic molds for the design), with no variation on the design. They pulled the original and began producing another wireless one with a slightly different design (little fatter, two-tone colors).
I love it -- it's exactly the same feel as the standard 'chuck, plus the one AAA battery gives it just a tad of weight so it feels less "cheap" than the standard 'chuck.

@theblackdragon: Actually, that one you labeled "TV destruction two" did not result in a broken TV. If you read the video description, it makes it clear that the kid only broke some glass from the TV stand. Still not good, but it could've been WAY worse, and I'm all OCD about nitpicks like this.
That's why I say you should use the strap for motion-intensive games. Point-and-click or barely-wiggle games, there's no real point. And I do make a certain point of making my guests wear the darned things, just in case.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
@caelett: I have never used it either. And I have never dropped it or hit anything. I don't use the jackets, either. They make the controller too bulky...
Luckily my fine-motor skills have evolved since my terrible two's and I can grasp the WiiMote without tossing it at the TV regardless of the game. It helps that all my WiiMotes are wearing their protective covers which adds a whole extra level of... hand traction? Oh I don't know, I just don't use 'em.
@Stuffgamer1: ah, my bad, i'll edit my post. it's still funny, though.

Dunno why exactly it inspired this, but I just read 33., saw you had VC - Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars in your VC, and just went online and downloaded it. I'm relatively sure that wasn't your intent leaving that in your sig, but...
Thanks. One of my all-time favorite games and for some reason I hadn't bought it yet...in fact this is the first time I've ever played it non-emulation, aside from a rental :0

Ja that's also my NUMBER ONE favorite game of all time. Glad u bought it.
I only use the wrist strap when playing Wii Sports. All other games (Like Zelda TP or Metroid Prime 3), I never use it. Never had any problems with it going flying into the TV with the other games, so yea...
I love the wrist-strap... It's "gamer rage" insurance for when I play MM9 and want to throw my Wiimote through the TV, it just flies around my wrist a few times!
I'd love to see video of that!
I not only use the straps, but I bought a pack of fashion coloured ones as well to differentiate which system the remotes are synced with: green and blue are the PAL wiimotes and black and white are the Japanese ones. I have one remote for each system jacketed (just because that's all the jackets I have) and I've adjusted -- I feel better about hitting objects intentionally due to frustration now (though this is rare!). I'm sure the other two will have Motion Plus jackets eventually!
