Topic: CAUTION: Please use Wii Strap at all times when using the Wii Remote. However, when do you not use it?

When I just switch to the 'channel' that the Wii is setup to, if it's still on,
and I just want to check where it's at or wha't s happening,
to turn it off.

Maybe, other times like and NES game, but, mostly, it goes on,
or I kept it on, so not much. It's feels cooler-better too.
Like when strapping yourself into seat-belt on vehicle, to feel the machine and road,
and feels like rally car.
Oh, and always use seat-belt even if you don't like the feeling. =D

I used to always use the wrist strap until I realised that it was just annoying and I am perfectly capable of holding onto something and not letting go.

I use the strap always; even if it's just to play a classic game NES-style -- it's like a safety belt as you say Lakitu64, and you wouldn't drive without one of those, would you?

If only my other applicance-remotes had straps I (or more often, my wife) wouldn't drop them on the floor occasionally!

I hardly ever use it. Tiger Woods 10 is about the only game I get hardcore enough to worry about losing the Wiimote and strap it to me.

If I'm just looking at channels, I won't use it, and of course I don't use it with the Classic Controller plugged in.

But for Wii games, I'll always use it.

Actually that's the same as me. No strap until I'm booting a game; no strap for CC play as well.

I never use it, no matter what. like nintendoduffin, I am perfectly capable of holding the controller without letting go. Besides, you're not supposed to be flailing your arms about as hard as you can.

I use it all the time just to stay in the habit of using straps when they're available on electronic things. I've seen so many cameras dropped and smashed, I don't want one of them to be mine someday just because I forgot to put on the stupid strap.

I only use it when I'm playing a Wii game that requires relatively high movement (Punch-Out!! when in motion control mode, Wii Sports, WarioWare [especially that one because of the one minigame where you're SUPPOSED to drop it], etc...). I don't bother with lesser motion-controlled games like Twilight Princess, Overlord: Dark Legend, and Super Mario Galaxy. Never in menus, and never while using Classic Controller (but that's just common sense, obviously).

I love the wrist-strap... It's "gamer rage" insurance for when I play MM9 and want to throw my Wiimote through the TV, it just flies around my wrist a few times!

But in all seriousness, the only games I use the strap for are TW10 and WiiSports (and Resort). I've seen the old WiiSports disasters on wiihaveaproblem.com, and MotionPlus requires more full-motion, so those two are no-brainers for me.

I even don't use the Wii Remote straps at all!
Unlike some people who have to use full arm motions when playing games & purposly let the Wii Remote fly out of their hands; I always have a firm grip on mine & use very minimal motions!
And I got a Wii Remote Jacket on my Wii Remote anyway!
That's why I'm a smart person; that's why!

Never use it, nor the wrist strap for my wireless nunchuck (the good Nyko one from before they got sued). Also don't use (or even have) the Wiimote jacket/condom. Naked Wiimote FTW!

I have a nice blue Wii strap but I never use it, except for Boom Blox! The remote jacket definitely lessens the risk.

I'll put it on if I'm playin wii sports or something like that. Not because I think that I'll let go of the remote but to stop it whippin me in the eye after a particularly exuberant bowl Other than that I just let it hang man. (I do always rubber up though )

What's this bit for again?
