@Leonzable Kinect Sports actually sounds pretty good. Not great, but good. You could've picked something far worse. Lots to choose from on Kinect......
"Oooh, yes I said it! I said it! I said it 'cause I caaan!" My Backloggery
Kinect and Move both have great tech, but crap games. There's great potential, but the Wii's been out for five years and it's nowhere near reached its potential (HD Wii plz!).
HD was never part of the Wii's potential and at this point the Wii won't support HD because the games themselves do not support HD themselves
Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...
Sonic Colors is the only one I'm getting. I'll get Goldeneye when it goes down in price, though. Epic Yarn will be a rental once they put games in the local Redbox.
Its Xbox all the way for me this year. Fallout New Vegas , Need For Speed:Hot pursuit and Black-Ops is what I'm asking Santa for.Oh and the missus wants Kinect for her and the Kidz. No money left for dear old Ninty I'm afraid, though I'm sure they will do ok over christmas without my cash.
Yeah, there are lots of Xbox 360 games that have my interest this year, but unfortunately, I ain't got the cash. But still, Vanquish, FO: New Vegas, NFS: Hot Pursuit, Halo Reach, COD: Black Ops, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and too many others.
...As for the Wii, funny enough I'm not buying any of recent or upcoming releases except maybe Epic Mickey.
I'm in the exact same boat. I've got Epic Mickey on preorder but there aren't any other Wii games I'm looking forward to right now.
The biggest question I have to ask myself is: What is the Wii's market saturation? I think it's pretty darned high due to (obviously) awesome sales.
Also, will all of those Wii owners begin to move to other consoles this Christmas as Sony and Microsoft continue to roll out their own motion controls. Will the folks who don't own consoles see a reason to purchase a Wii over the other 2?

Well it was going to happen eventually. That's the reason why software is so important. It's a real shame third-party games don't sell that well in the Wii. I usually like third-party games better than Nintendo ones lol. :/

Anyone who owns a Wii is going to see Microsoft's and Sony's pretty thinly-veiled attempts to cash in on the motion/casual market.
Also it's been discussed before and the Wii is way cheaper than buying the other consoles + their motion control packages.
Maybe I'm not paying attention, but the "console wars" have been pretty tame over the years. Tame in that companies generally spend their time and money promoting their own stuff rather than bashing their competition. PS3 just made it personal!
I dropped my pre-order of Epic Mickey because I've realized I'm not likely to play it much. I'm afraid I'm mostly moved to the 360 and Kinect + Dance Central + Dance Masters + one of the exercise games is on my Christmas list. I'm also getting a copy of Sin & Punishment, but that's because it's already purchased. Had I to do it over I probably would have skipped that too. I find myself drawn to the 360 more and more. The games, the online, the achievements, the HD graphics, the controller and now Kinect. I'm just not sure there's much left in the Wii for me. I'm sure there will be a game here or there and my kids want some games (and I'm looking forward to finally playing Kirby's Epic Yarn), but it's pretty much all 360 for the forseable future for me. Nintendo needs to get a vastly improved console/platform out.
