Yeah, pretty predictable. Everyone has the same 6 or 7 franchises in various order. Would be more interesting to do a top 5, along with favorite and least favorite title from each ranking. You'd get some diversity in there.

This top 10+ is following the one sub franchise per main franchise rule. In other words because I put Mario and Luigi I can't put Super Mario Bros.
Haven't played enough of the donkey kong country games to comment on them other than the music is awesome, the only donkey kong games I've played a fair bit of are DK94 via 3DS vc and DK64 both of which I liked a lot, just haven't played enough of the games so far to give a verdict on the franchise over all.
I'd like to point out an interesting fact in the responses so far.
Pikmin has been mentioned in about half the lists, which is 9 times. Besides 2 times when it was listed 8th, it was listed top 5 everytime. It ranked 5th twice, 2nd4 times, and even 1st once. What i'm getting at here is that it is generally absolute tops, or not even considered, kinda a love it or hate it type of thing. Either people just don't "get it" because it's not their kind of thing, or if they do like it, they love it.
It really speaks to the quality of the games, whether or not they're you're "flavor".
