Well I disagree with your ideas on colour and I disagree with your claim that white won't draw attention next to black TVs and DVD players.... but this is artsy BS so everyone disagrees. That's kinda the point isn't it? I think we should probably agree to agree but continue to pretend we're disagreeing.

Still, options. Options are great. If there were all the flat colour options in the world for the Wii U I'd go with matte black.

Everything imo went downhill gradually after 95' Hell, If you were to take a look at a mid to late 80's/early early 90's videogame commercial( just one example, or even cereal, candy bars, or 'whatever' for the most part)which were completely out of this world, full of zany imagination, vibrant colors, they were in your face, just magical, the works... and you then compare it to the drab, lifeless, dismal, extremely minimal, colorless, uncreative, 'too serious' and boring commercials of today it's pretty damn depressing.

YouTube however is a god send, i can find all of those amazing retro commercials, and relive the awesomeness.
As fr the Wii U. You could always customize is to make it look however you want instead of the 'playing it safe' generic bland design it's already sporting.
The Wii U(Prototype that is) is Nintendo's first uncreative attempt at a next gen console. Where's that special something that makes it look like a completely different and 'new' console. Far too simular to the Wii...But as we know, Nintendo will not stray away from the wii brand nor the asthetics. Wouldn't want to confuse the casual soccer mom masses. Maybe Nintendo's araid to get creative design wise since the Purple Gamecube Lunch box was deemed to kiddy by far too many. Still, all of the Nintendo consoles look great, but the Wii U just lacks originality. Hopefully we'll see a change in it's design, if not whatever.

Well he did dig his own grave by posting that non anonymously after signing the NDA.. He only has himself to blame and he deserves it. He should just be happy he got away that easy, NDA violation can lead to court.

It's not just nostalgia, I adore 80's in general when it comes to fashion, music and many other things. And that goes for the late 70's as well.
Anyways, i'm definitly all for an 'NES' inspired design or color layout. Either way, you'll most deifnitly beable to buy 'NES' skins for the controller and console online the same way you can with the Wii. I'm personally just going to leave it as is, maybe thrown in a splash of color with whatever, but that's it really.

Actually, Nintendo should thank him, since there are far more people interested and hyped for E3 after seeing the new model.

Dude broke near. Is it really that hard to make a faketwitter or post on a French forum like ubisoft does when. They leak stuff. Samething happened I. March when some guy leaked some Microsoft stuff on his personal twitter. Why?

They should thank him for screwing their agreement over? He was asked to keep quiet but didn't. Hype or no hype that will look bad for both the employee and the whole company. Who knows if Nintendo will do future contracts with them when they know secrets slip out.

You could argue that it would create hype, but it could also ruin hype. If you go back to E3 2004 and the Zelda Twilight Princess reveal trailer was shown and the crowd wen bonkers it was an amazing moment. That would never have happened if the trailer or an image had leaked before E3. They'll never get reactions of the crowd if everything leaks before the actual conference. There'll be loads of people watching both online and on TV so crowd reactions can be important.

Might be good for hype, but violating the NDA has a lot more bad points rather than good. I'll admit I'm personally happy he did it though.
