Topic: when is there a mario galaxy 3???

Mario is getting tired now so I think he might need to rest for a decade or two

Hopefully it doesn't happen. I'd prefer it if they would either leave Mario alone for a while or if they did something new with the series. Or, if they didn't want to do either one of those, make a Paper Mario game that's an actual RPG again.

Out of modern platformers, I've enjoyed recent Rayman, Donkey Kong, and Kirby games a thousand times more than recent Mario outings...

i never liked galaxy 1, haven't tried galaxy 2. lots of people like it though, so i wouldn't be opposed to nintendo making another one. something like galaxy 3 could sell WiiUs. they've got warehouses full of WiiUs, they're worthless

I actually love the 3D exploring Mario games. However, I don't want a Sunshine or a Galaxy sequel, I want something new. Don't get me wrong I love those games, but if you play them back to back including 64 you would easily be able to see that there is a difference in gaming mechanics. I mean all the Mario elements are there, but its changed enough to be fresh. I do love the multiplayer aspect of 3D World, but there is just something magical about Mario games that focus on the single player. I want to see what they can introduce to the Mario universe next.

Hopefully it doesn't happen. 2 was enough and I hope they've moved on.

I'd love to see Galaxy One re-released in HD - even if only as a download. My first Mario game played to completion since Super Mario Land on Gameboy and a lovely story as well. Dumping the story element made Galaxy 2 a miss for me, but if that also got the treatment I might give it a look. I'd certainly rather have these games than more Lego cash-in titles!

I don't think there will be a 3rd Galaxy. If you disregard the 2D New Super Mario Brother games, each generation Nintendo has done something different with the 3D Mario games (with the exception of Galaxy 2, which for me is really an extention of the 1st Galaxy)

I'm looking forward to what Nintendo do different with the next game. Although I would also like to see the original Galaxy in HD. Perhaps releasing Galaxy 1 & 2 in HD together as a download for the price of 1 retail game

Hasn't Miyamoto basically confirmed that there will be a Super Mario Galaxy 3 at some point by saying that Nintendo has "Unfinished Business" with it? I mean, that's a "yes, it's coming eventually" to me...

As for what'd it'd be like, I would hope for the return of F.L.U.D.D. Maybe it'd be a mix between Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy 2. I doubt that they'd do that, though.

Regardless, I'd imagine it will be released around the middle of the Wii U's lifespan.

Can't wait for a SMG 3 one day. SMG 2 (and also the first but missing Yoshi) is one of the best games of all times and a sequel will be exciting.

I'm still waiting on a Sunshine 2, I think we can all agree that Sunshine was a better game, out of all the 3D Mario games.
