Topic: Ubisoft is buying THQ assets....Might Ubisoft publish metro last light on wii u.

What do you think, is it possible, Ubi is a great supporter of nintendo, this sounds good.

Is this actually proven or still a rumor?

I believe it's still a rumor, but a strong one, at this point; Personally, the first thing i thought up when i heard of THQ's trouble was the possibility of Ubi buying some or all of the company (don't know why, it just seems to me to be likely).

That said, if they do buy assets including Metro, i'm sure it's a possibility, but it will depend on a number of factors including how well the game does in general. If it only sells in mediocre numbers elsewhere, it's unlikley to see it come to WiiU, as the development/porting costs may not make it an attractive proposition financially despite Ubi's strong support of WiiU.

If the developer's still dead set against it, then it's doubtful. They could give it to another developer, of course... but then Nintendo will just be getting the sloppy seconds again. I'd rather it be skipped if that's the case.

I think the publisher was against it due to lack of moneys

I came into this topic expecting to go "Aww" but instead I'm here with an "Oh.".

Would be rather interesting to hear from the developer, "We initially thought the Wii U was underpowered based on early dev kits specs, but the latter dev kits proved us wrong."

For what it's worth, the team behind the game has limited people, money, and time, so it's not like a Wii U port was in favor in the first place. The guy who made the comment even mentioned that a Wii U version may be possible, but as it was extending the list of platforms to PS3 was an endeavor in and of itself.

I would love to see Ubisoft aquire THQ

It'd be interesting to see THQ acquired by Ubisoft. I want to see the Metro, Saints Row, & Darksiders series go on.
