I still think Wii U will do decently enough as well.

I think it could be a very possible scenario. November would be strong for "psbox", at the begging of 2014 maybe they don't sell that much.

Ps4 could easily keep sales up. It has the best price point out of the three given the tech.

WAT!

While not nearly as bad as Wii U has had it, I still see there being some issues. ...like first of all, no it's not gonna keep up sales, expecting anyone to match holiday sales for a new console is insane. That pretty much never happens, at least not until the next holiday season. And Ps3 could hurt Ps4 sales since Ps3 still actually matters to gamers. It definitely has the best chance of keeping momentum nonetheless.

360/PS3 being cheap and having the most support are the biggest problems for every console not called 3DS this holiday season.

It's almost like all the new consoles aren't going to struggle so much against their rivals, but rather their own predecessors. Talk about irony...

It's just that Nintendo fans are know to stick to the clasic game franchises like Zelda, Mario, Kirby, Donky Kong, Sonic (Sega and Nintendo are never splitting up), MP, Pokemon and a few others.

The Wii was not really seen as a consoul at all, for a lot of people if was just 360 or PS4. But if you ask them If they had a Wii they would reply "who doesn't have a Wii?" But with the WiiU they don't have as many games out and that Is what is killing there sales. And in the beginning people thought it was just a controller.

And most people would rather buy a game on the One or the PS4 if it came out for them as well as the WiiU.

UbiSoft can re-evaluate all they want and whatever they want, but they don't call the shots--and never will.
Why? Because they are a third party developer. If the Wii U begins to take off next year (or whenever) they have no choice but to come crawling back to Nintendo ...if they ever choose to leave.

I'm pretty sure they call the shots with what they want to support. I mean the Wii was extremely popular but didn't get any support from them with the exception of red steel and Dance Games.

I don't know how many people bought the PS3 as a blu-ray player primarily, but now blu-ray players are everywhere and cheaper. Back in '06 the PS3 was the best deal. This segment of the market will not exist for Sony come November.

I can see the PS4 selling out, but I see it mostly as something to be re-sold on Ebay, rather than enjoyed...

I guess there's a convenience and it doesn't take up an HDMI slot.... that said, I have a Blu Ray- got one free with my TV last year. I've used it twice in one year. I stream movies for the most part now or DVR....

I see 360 and PS3 being issues for all three consoles since they have huge install bases. If hungry Nintendo fans are being slow to upgrade to Wii U, how many well fed, and still being fed, PS and Xbox fans upgrade from PS3 and 360 to PS4 and One?

Alot will upgrade to the One and PS4. Not the most mainstream orcasuel fan who just picked up a 360/PS3 but the core base who was there for the system launches are going to be their. I got my 360 in 2009 and i'm ready to upgrade because of the new next gen only games and the added features to cross gen games like screensshots and video.

The problem with nintendo was their Launch didn't have anything compelling to grab you., and all the third party support consisted of mostly late ports. I think if pIkmin would have been ready for launch we would have been having a different story, that and some sort of game with multiplayer.

I have to agree with you. I think in terms of selling systems at launch, 3D Mario has more power than 2D Mario. And late ports just can't expect to get much sales like Arkham City.

I think we can all agree that Nintendo, as much as we love them, really need to plan their system launches better.

Agreed. A lot of people should be taking note here, honestly. I remember seeing a video that explained how having less games at launch is actually better than having more at launch, so long as more of those launch games are of better quality, especially if one or more of them are generally considered must-haves. Nintendo banked on quantity over quality, and it seems to have backfired immensely.

Don't you mean they banked on quality over quantity? Pikmin 3 has had some decent improvements visual wise and such since they delayed it. Whether or not you think that title is important for the console, is really up to you, but there's no doubt the delay of Pikmin 3 paid off.
Even so, there's plenty of games we knew were coming, but had no idea about, such as 3D World or Mario Kart 8. People have bought Wii U consoles on the assumption that those sort of games would be coming out. The difference is that it wasn't 9 months ago.

Wii U will have more games spanning from the last part of 7th gen and 8th gen by the time the holidays are here.
IMO, there's alot going for Wii U.

He was talking about the Wii U launch, due to delays a lot of the quality products got pushed back

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
