Not the best gaming news sites around but still. It is a little worrying to be honest. With EA and Activision announcing they don't have plans on bringing next gen games to the Wii U. Ubisoft could stop supporting the Wii U after Christmas depending on sales.
I personally think but I really do hope I am wrong. That the Wii U will struggle this Christmas with both the PS4 and Xbox One coming out in November and maybe with 1 final price drop of the PS3/Xbox 360. I don't see Nintendo doing all that well. Sure there first party titles will most likely do well. But what about 3rd party titles more specifically Ubisoft titles.
Suck as Rayman or Assassin's Creed 4 or Watch Dogs. How well do you think the Wii U versions will sell this Christmas? With all 2 of them 3 titles being on pretty much all platforms. I just can't see the Wii U versions doing all that well in my honest opinion.
This was pretty much a given and this holiday season will make or break the Wii U having good support. Now its time to see if Nintendo Gamers will put their money up to support third party games. Like even if you plan to get the game get it on WIi U versus any other platform

Exactly the opposite. Consoles coming out can only mean good news for Nintendo.
It raises awarness for videogames.
Some people actually buy more than one console.
And those that don't will hear what's going on, check out the stuff, and then get the console with the cool tablet that plays Mario and Sonic, and uses the controllers you still have at home too, and even that Balance Board. It's such a better deal to most people, that it will just immensely help Nintendo to have more new consoles out there alongside it. The comparison only helps.

Right but Nintendo will have to address one of the Wii U's biggest problems, awareness. No one will get it if they are not aware of what it is, that is the problem that Nintendo has been facing since pre-launch
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

The comparison doesn't help at all. When people gp to gamestop and ask which is the best they'll get this.
-The Best Graphics and Online are PS4 or Xbox One.
-sorry but the WIi U doesn't have any of the sports games or battlefield.
-The WIi U doesn't have a Hard Drive either.
-You can use your pre existing tablet with the PS4 or Xbox One.
-Sorry but Wii fit and the balance board is useless since it doesn't tie into Fitbit or Nike+
-The PS4 is only $50-$100 cheaper.

I'll give you the sports/battlefield games, but the rest probably doesn't matter at all.
And his main point still stands, competition is good for awareness for the business more often than not.
I think a lot depends on the state of the economy and overall consumer confidence..... If that's the case, I think all three consoles will be fine, even last place.
Not sure that nintendo is doomed to last place- first they have a 4m unit headstart. They will have some very compelling titles out by Christmas with more coming shortly thereafter. I think Microsoft is in the toughest spot. How many people will want to upgrade who just bought in the last 2-3 years? I'm going to guess that at least initially, XBone's biggest competition might be itself, at least for the first year.

yeah Wii U miiiight get a boost just from being the only one that's a sequel console to a console that has no games anymore. Fitting considering how much 3DS was probably initially hurt by the idiotic decision to put a DS Pokemon game at the same time.
I think there is a big possability that wii u loses ubisoft support, which is the last 3rd party developer supporting wii u. That would mean the end of 3rd party games on wii u. . I love mario and zelda but i also want some other games. I really hope windwaker hd, pikmin 3, mario 3d world, wonderful 101, party u, dk tropical freeze, scribblenauts umasked will boost wii u sales.
There's nothing to prove that the PS4 or XB1 will do any better than how Wii U is doing, especially since the PS3/360 are still getting a lot of support for the next few years and those being where the money is right now. PS2 still went strong after 360/PS3 launched for years, selling much more per week than they did.

Nothing but the fact that these two consoles have hype and have entered the lexicon unlike the Wii U. Even the Xbox One which has a confusing name is known to be anew console. I'm expecting them both to sell out this november with the ne falling off a cliff afterward.
I still think Wii U will do decently enough as well.

I'd imagine there's a lot of 3ds owners who will eventually get a Wii U.... If you just want a device for portable games, you can get a phone or a tablet. It might not be the main reason, but I'd imagine that at least 75 percent of owners just like Nintendo, if not more. Not saying they will all buy a Wii U, just that there's probably some upside there that's untapped.
