I saw preview videos a few months back before the game's release and thought the core concept was cool initially. Than after seeing more and more trailers the next few weeks after I thought it looked a bit to simplistic for my tastes. Now that the game is finally out I've checked out some lengthy videos on youtube that showcase the gameplay really well. Because of this I now eventually might get this game one day...rpg elements in the game look great imo. But that $15 price tag.....is the only thing holding me back.
Here's one video that helps give us an idea how the game plays.
A new RPG concept that is easy to play. With tons of welldesigned levels, beautiful handdrawn graphics, hidden playable characters and items, and good music, and full Off-Tv support too.
Gets challenging if you don't collect pearls and level up your characters (Hint: save pearls to buy the Double Pearl Fish as soon as possible, or you'll need to repeat stages and grind later on).

I recommend it, my review is finished soon.
You sold me......
Not sure why I even thought to take a closer look at this game. It got a decent review from Nintendolife- I think 8 stars. Anyway, when I did look at it, I was wondering why more people weren't talking about it.
I thought it was surprisingly fun. I'm even now still working towards completing it. I hope to see another one on the eShop eventually, because I'll gladly buy it.
And nobody should let that price get in the way, this is worth it.

Took me 30hrs to complete all 90 stages. Now I unlocked Pro Mode. It's the same stages, but more and harder enemies and even new obstacles and chests. You can earn an extra badge on all levels if you win on Pro Mode. It is still fun! So much replay value.
Good game, though the 'falling off' mechanic is annoying. It can be hard to judge the edges of a stage, especially on the 3DS version.
I'm playing through both versions though, first playing the stages on 3DS then attempting to 3* them on Wii U.
