With both teams starting at the bottom and the super jump I think the map looks very fun. holding the top is going to be important but the people are the top won't have an easy time winning.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Reminds me of the beach map in Conker's Bad Fur Day, though the two teams had different objectives in that map. One team had to charge up the beach and take the keep, the other had to defend it.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Now if only we could create our own maps. lol
(that would be epic, maybe a future DLC download, either free or paid depending on the amount of other content. )

Keep it PG-13-ish.

I don't see why not. The maps don't look that complicated, especially since they're all boxy with ordinary items placed in them, unlike a Mario Kart 8 level. It would be really fun and not at all difficult to program, I'm sure. Why would it have to be DLC?

Because I doubt it's in the game at this point. xD

Why not? Why couldn't it be an unrevealed feature?
Having played a later build it seems unlikely that the Wii U would be able to process more than two players at any one time. It's seamless online, but I feel that a single console would struggle to sustain local multiplayer beyond the elusive 1v1 mode.
What makes you say that given that that's exactly what they do with Mario Kart?
I haven't played it yet, but I imagine rendering different screens with as many variables as this game is much more difficult than a game like Mario Kart. But we shall see. I imagine 720p/30 FPS for any local multiplayer at most

It just seems that there is a lot more going on in this game than in MK8. I mean, obviously haven't played it, but I would assume this game takes up more processing power than MK8 does, just based on what I've seen of it.

Yeah maybe. I mean, I'm a programmer who runs maths and physics simulations on a daily basis and I can't for the life of me figure out how they're doing the splashing ink effects in this game. They're insanely impressive. The only thing close was the gloopy stuff in Portal 2. Which was far easier to figure out.
Nintendo's Facebook page just listed Splatoon as "Summer 2015"... Delay confirmed?
Delay from what?Has there been a released date for the game?
Not a specific date, no. But to go from "May 2015" to "Summer 2015"? That smells like a delay to me.
Who cares?Splatoon is the perfect game for the Summer heat in my opinion. So i'll gladly take that delay.
Splatoon's May release would have been at the end of May most likely. Granted, the game could still be releasing in May. We all know that according to NoA, Spring is January-April, Summer is May-October and Winter is November and December. Fall doesn't exist to them.
