If only... But they've said that the project is something that everybody wants, and being that Kid Icarus isn't quite that popular, my doubts are high.
But more on topic, my money is on Star Fox or F-Zero.
– There was a pitch at Retro Studios for a new Metroid game that I have no idea if was scrapped or if it was made into a full game. I do know the pitch was an FPA like the Prime games and it took in between Other M and Fusion. It was suppose to deal with an entire planet that in a conflict between the good guys and the Space Pirates caused a fracture in time that allowed half of the dead planet to come back to life including the dead Chozoo colony. It was suppose to deal with the mystery of the Chozoo, Samus upbringing and that the Chozoo were more war like than imagined. It was also suppose to feature Wii Motion Plus control along with two player co-op with the new Chozoo partner on the gamepad, allowing more crazy exploration and puzzle solving. Being isolated, together was the theme. Multiplayer is also planned. Besides working on that internal next-gen engine for Wii U and a smaller team for Donkey Kong Land Returns, we know that some of the pitches included an entirely new IP based around the GamePad, a revival of Raven Blade and a reboot of Mach Rider.
-Metroid Prime 4
-Another disappointing Star Fox game
-A Star Fox game that people all love
-F-Zero?
-(Sadly, not everyone wants this) Kid Icarus: Uprising remake or sequel
-(My heart would stop at that very moment) Sequel to X-Scape
This is a signature.
Link goes here now.
Screw you.
@AmigaEngine
Hmmm... I read the articals, and many things do seem real, especially since some already are, but as the huy mentioned, and I agree with, they could change the software completely.
I do believe Wii U could have hardware add on's that will enhance the current Wii U console, as Sega did, but actually be successful this time.
I think PS Omni will fail. Xbox and Nintendo will remain. The main point this gen will be complete powerhouse(Xbox) vs. moderate(Wii U) with add ons that equal Xbox's strength as time passes on, but only follows along side Microsoft AT THEIR PACE.
Nintendo could even release an add on for $100 that does everything these consoles do by releasing updates in intervals. The add on would only do a small amount of improvements, but can be upgraded software wise while requiring money to do so. So basically, they're giving you a $100 piece of equipment that's actually worth $300, and can be updated to keep up at the set pace by Microsoft.
I don't think PS will have the BC chip, but making 3D possible on any TV is possible. They sell boxes that do that separately from your tv, so I can see that being possible to get 3D on more people's screens.
I think the projector walls is realistic, but only in time. The kinect and motion tracking being on the console it self probably isn't true, but perhaps might come with a debice that you just plug into the wall, and is synced wirelessly.
I called the game streaming, so no surprise there.
The betas will help alot in developing an experience anyone with internet will be able to take part in, for everyone.
These are my thoughts on these rumors, but only time will truly tell, and I hope for the best.
@Chrono_Cross
Just replayed through the trilogy ..........again. Seems much longer imo.
Retro is currently staffed with enough employees to be working on more than one IP and that is what I find exciting. There so many games we all want but only so many developers and time.

I'm still hoping for F-Zero
Edit: Wait, what if it was Earthbound? Has anyone thought of that yet?
I couldn't think of Retro doing an RPG
Well they went from making a unique first person adventure trilogy to making a 2d platformer. Though if you mean Retro will probably forever be making gameplay-focused games...duh it's Nintendo. Besides, Xenoblade was focused on gameplay.
