I have to agree with @kkslider5552000 here. I only use Metacritic to see the various thoughts people have on the game, not the score. It's funny, y'all pretty much agree that video game review scores are inaccurate, and yet y'all are arguing over Metacritic scores like they're fact. All a Metacritic score is is this average of those very reviews you consider inaccurate.

Most PS4 gamers I talked to are buying AC4 instead of Knack and Killzone: Shadow Fall.

The topic isn't about the console with more sales; it is about the quality of games at the consoles release, so you're comment is not relevant really.

Its the massive third party support thats really helping the PS4 and the Xbox One (when it releases).
All these cross gen games like COD: Ghosts. AC4, Battlefield 4, Lego: Superheroes, Injustice, etc are really helping these consoles.
The same thing woulda happened if Watch Dogs was out right now. Most PS4 users would be playing Watch Dogs instead of the PS4 exclusives like Knack and Killzone: Shadowfall.

Exactly. Most third-party developers have strayed away from Nintendo, which sucks because this draws people away from the Wii U as well - GTA fans won't get one, CoD fans won't get one, etc. The console just needs more third-party support I think.

Yup, if accurate (and it is a surprisingly round number) it's just good logistics more than it is good hype. From memory all of those consoles above were "sold out" at launch and if you look back, even with smaller markets, most if not all of them probably hit 1mill fairly quickly. The Wii in particular was sold out for months in what many would argue was the best console launch to-date. Even the Wii U was selling out of the Premium SKU at launch and hit the 1mill mark in the US within the first couple of weeks. Seriously, if a console hits 1mill in the first couple of weeks it would have hit it on day 1 if there wasn't a problem with supply. Who buys a console in week 3 who didn't intend to get it on day 1?

So yeah, this is good news for Sony but lets not get too carried away peoples.

Wii U: 650k
Wii: 720k

After a year the Wii U has sold 1.5mill units in the US
The Wii managed 5.3mill units.....

@AlexSays Of course metacritic matters. After all, like I told you then, Nintendo has better scores than Sony, something you unsuccessfully and quite laughably disputed, despite any fanboy feeling you may have. I think it's currently an average of 76 of Nintendo vs. 73 of Sony. . lol.

Saying the launch lineup is superior seems "kinda dumb", posting launch sales numbers to say the Ps4 is the best seems kinda smart.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will soon join that list.

Pick any parameter (above 75, 80, etc) and Sony has more games. You're using the bottom outliers to completely disregard every other game.

I even typed out the lists for you, and you still denied it. If I am wrong, please use the same parameter and show how Nintendo has more. The average means nothing. One company publishes twice as many games, therefore it can have more 90s, 80s, etc and still have a lower average (by two points, omg sony is daworst!) because of bottom outliers.

But then again numbers are hard for nintendo fanboys, I know. : (

Launch lineups mean nothing, 3DS had one of the most pathetic launch lineups ever, Nintendogs and Steel Diver as the two "big" first party titles and the only saving grace on the whole lineup was a port of a years old game and now there's no denying 3DS has amassed one of the greatest libraries ever.

Oh, and Sony does not "publish" more titles. It is actually based on 552 Nintendo games and 473 Sony games. LOL.

We were talking about PS3 games and Wii games. You are talking about total Sony games and total Nintendo games.

The discussion was always Sony and Nintendo, not the PS3 and the Wii out of all the Nintendo consoles for some odd reason. It includes N64 games just like it includes PS1 games. Not complicated lol. Admit it - you just want to have the thread closed because you're sad about Sony's games. I'm fine with that.
