I am still hugely disappointed by many of the things in the Digital event. We wanted Amiibo centered game and AC game and their release was that horrible Mario Party clone, which doesn't even have minigames. Because those were the worst part in MP right?

3DS actually had a decent showing of titles. Combined with Square's bravely second and a lot of other stuff, they should be ok.

But for us mainly Wii U players... not a lot to cheer about. I didn't believe the Wii U is dead to Nintendo argument before this event. It is the largest and grandest of all stages in the video gaming industry and they show games already showed last year topped with Really lackluster announcements (on my opinion). Having Paper mario on 3ds is just flipping off to Wii U users. Mario Tennis is hardly the holiday hit most expected and with Mario Maker and Yoshi already getting huge amounts of visibility before the event, it was just a massive rehash.

We still do have a number of good games coming this and next year, but it is starting to be more and more clear that Wii U is being driven down. At this moment I would only hope that NX is coming out sooner than later, because at this rate Nintendo is losing more and more of it's dedicated home console fans.

Everyone and me included would have loved Wii U to be success, but alas it wasn't. Now let's minimize the losses and hope for early 2016 announcement of NX hybrid system

Star Fox looked ugly but fun. Hopefully Platinum will work their magic on that one.

3rd Parties were mentioned multiple times before the E3 and yet it was same as before, which means practically nothing.

Will I buy NX when it comes, probably... but it's not 100% certainty as every other Nintendo system thus far has been in my life after NES. And I will not buy it until there is catalogue of good games to play. Retro is now in my opinion hard at work already doing a project or multiple projects to the NX anyway.

Wii U will be remembered as a failure with magnificent games. It's not a bad legacy but it is bad business.

All in all, only Star Fox excited me, Mario Maker had been preordered long ago as well as everything else already shown last year.

How to still fix things, give Shin'en the F-Zero license before they release Fast Racing and... well that's enough for me. I'll accept all the other losses after that.

Rambling, still annoyed text it seems. But that's what you get for... well failing this year. I still love you guys there at Ninty, but you won't get me on Hypetrain anymore.

You have not slept 'a few nights after' the digital event. That is impossible as it hasn't even been 48 hours since the event ended yet.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

Maybe he lives on Jupiter, where one day is only ten hours long.

Nah, m8, no internet on Jupiter. Or life. Good thought, though.

The digital event was on tuesday evening. I slept between tuesday and wednesday. Then I slept last night. Now it's thursday. That makes it few nights. Two nights to be exact. Two can be equaled as few.

Nah mate.

Less than 48 hours =/= a few nights.

Of course! This dastardly alien tried to trick us by very clearly listing Finland as his residence — where, as a side note, the event happened at 19:00 on Tuesday —, but we're smarter than that, yes sirree.

Alright. The problem with Nintendo's strategy with Wii U is: how will I know they won't do it again next time around? Maybe NX won't be a roaring success. Will Nintendo once again abandon after two and a half years? In my opinion they ought to have properly supported Wii U just a little longer, no matter the cost, because now Ninty has let down its core audience, the few who bought a Wii U. Hastily pushing out new systems when old ones fail to meet expectations isn't a viable business plan, as evidenced by what happened to Sega.

As for the 3DS: the presentation didn't do a good job of showing this, but I agree with you, there's actually a pretty decent selection of games coming up — Paper Jam in particular caught my eye — and unlike Wii U, 3DS still has a smidget of 3rd party support left, so we'll get say, Ace Attorney, in the near future.

Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8

I also can't speak for Shin'en (obviously!) but I wouldn't discount the desirability of building of their own set of IPs. Nano Assault has multiple games in the series, I think Jett Rocket was theirs as well, and a second FAST Racing game would fit well in their stable.

I can't know what they think either of course. But just businesswise it would be smart for them to do F-Zero instead of Fast Racing. Names and franchises sell. But yes I have to agree that it would require more than just adding Blue Falcon and some F-Zero chars in there.

All in all it is very simple, fast arcade racer. It has no customisation, no story, no tuning. It's just fast fun arcade racing. Maybe Nintendo should have jumped on with them earlier in the development process. Alas... that is not their way.

I am just pretty bored by this event they've had. Although at the same time there are still plenty of 3DS & WiiU things I'm interested in, it just is probably the most boring year in a while.

What the heck happened to AR?

They did some cool stuff on the free game, why not do a full game or a series of minigames based around AR?

Nintendo's E3 presence was better than any of the other companies.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

My opinion hasn't changed over the last two days, and probably won't change at all, the new games were all mediocre at best and the shift towards NX is really putting me off to Nintendo. Nintendo feels like it's becoming SEGA.

IMO, this was the best Nintendo Digital Event that I've seen all year.

Oh yes definitely. I can't think of a single other Digital Event this year that could top it.

Nonsense, this was just a Nintendo Direct. The Direct that announced Monster Hunter 4U and MM3D's release dates was way better in my book.

Im not that surprised that the 3DS looks way stronger, its the right call... at this point Nintendo just put enough games to keep WiiU owners SOMEWHAT happy but not enough to make a real investment.

You just don't like anything as per usual.
(I'm just kidding btw )
Honestly the Digital Event was average, nothing mind blowing, but not the "NINTENDO IS D00MED!!!1!" worst thing ever as people tend to exaggerate it being. Yeah, it poorly paced, focused too much on the family friendly immediate coming games, and the games shown off were sort of, kind of, teases at fans' desires. I overall enjoyed the sense of fun Nintendo was trying to bring to he event, but I do wish it was overall better handled when it came to showing off certain games. The biggest mistake made with the game line up shown was that they focused so much on immediate forthcoming games that they seemed to have create the (very, very, understandably paranoid) idea they are dropping the Wii U.
