Topic: Miiverse Code of Conduct/Mario Kart 8 Question

I just found myself in a violation of the terms of the Miiverse Code of Conduct from a Mario Kart 8 video posting. I have watched the thing three times now and have yet to find a violation. I uploaded it because I wanted a copy on my personal YouTube account (plan on stitching together multiple videos of Ghost Runs for fun). The only thing I can possibly see is that I posted it with a blank drawing since I have yet to figure out a way to upload to Youtube without forcing it onto Miiverse (because everyone cares about my Ghost Runs that don't even show the ghost).

So two questions: Anyone else had this very confusing experience since the only content in the post was video of the game that Nintendo themselves programmed the game to produce, and has anyone found a way to avoid posting the video to Miiverse while still getting the upload to Youtube?

It's not you,it's just Nintendo's stupid Miiverse system. You can get reported and no one will look into it at all,and if they do they just press a button.

really?
goes to Miiverse to report tons of random people
just kidding, doing that wouldd be mean and childish.

I believe it's possible to just upload a YouTube video without being forced to post on Miiverse. Once the video starts uploading, you can simply not hit the Miiverse post button and exit once it has done processing.

Even if you properly follow the Miiverse Code of Conduct as much as possible, there will be always some random brat or a finicky Miiverse Admin who report one of your posts for no apparent reason. This seems to happen more often on the most popular communities (e.g. Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing Plaza, YouTube, etc.). It's kinda like how YouTube handles flagged videos.

Hey, just make a nice post for miiverse next time My 7 year old son got a post deleted from the art academy forum once. It was obvious that he had just made a few random lines and posted it. We had a good talk about making some effort before posting to miiverse, he god lots of likes on the other stuff.

doesn't the WiiU miiverse have text posts like the 3DS one? just type something short and sweet that doesn't require much thought like "wow this was so cool" or "I hate when this happens" and it'll get through without a problem.

I'll give that a try later today. Would have been easier if it had just let you decide where to post it.

I hate having to spam Miiverse with posts like that just because there is no easy way to export the videos or screenshots you may want to hang onto. One of the problems of Miiverse is the high volume of pointless posts, just do not like adding to cruft.

well, it depends, posts like this with a cool screenshot(or in this case video) would be fine because they have something extra to justify the lack of words.

They also need a much better moderation system. Their post really is vague and your ability to respond to it is even more limited. I wanted to ask for an explanation of exactly how the post violated the terms of service, but they only gave you pre-generated responses to reply with.

I appreciate that they want to moderate their forums; but bad, illogical moderation is worse than no moderation at all.
