I've been playing a lot of the classic Kirby games lately, and I just realized how awesome a warriors game would be, if it was made based off the franchise. The Kirby games have an even bigger cast than Zelda, heck, most of the cast of a Kirby Warriors game would probably be made up of Kirby himself! Imagine a warriors game, where you can constantly switch characters and playstyles on the battlefield.
Let's say I choose to play as Kirby, and I'm walking around. I see a mob of enemies, and suck up a sword knight. BAM! I'm Sword Kirby. I'm now doing over the top sword moves like Link in Hyrule Warriors. Oh wait, there's a Knuckles Joe over there in that mob! I'll just suck up that Knuckles Joe and turn into Fighter Kirby! BAM! I'm using a totally different playstyle! That would be so cool. And it makes a ton of sense, and seems both innovative for the Kirby franchise, and for the Warriors franchise!
The story could be about Dark Matter trying to take over Dreamland, so Kirby and his friends have to stop him. It doesn't have to be much more complicated than that. It IS a Kirby game after all. I think Dark Matter makes the most sense as a villain for this game, because he is intimidating, and just entirely evil.
The maps are all based off of locales from various Kirby games, and I imagine the character roster could have a ton of potential!
Playable character ideas:
Kirby - Can wield over 15 or so abilities. I don't want to make it too high, but not too low. Each one seems like it's own character, The popular ones are all here. Fire, Ice, Fighter, Sword, Rock, Electric, Wheel, Cutter, Leaf, Hammer, Bomb, Bird, Jet, Yo-Yo, and Bell (because why not? It was awesome in Triple Deluxe.)
King Dedede
Meta Knight
Bandana Waddle Dee (uses his spear and can summon other waddle dees to fight for him.)
Adeline (uses her paint brush to paint weapons to attack with.)
Magolor
Marx
Knuckle Joe (because why not?)
Rick
Kine
Cuu
Gooey - Gooey has the same abilities as Kirby, as a throwback to Kirby's Dreamland 3. He is a Kirby clone, so two players can use Kirby's copy abilities.
All in all, there would be 26 playable characters. Not counting Gooey, there would be 25. Bosses could include the old favorites, such as Whispy, Kracko, etc. So what do you think? Would Dreamland Warriors be a good idea? Any characters or movesets that YOU would like to see?

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Fire Emblem Warriors yet
That's one of the few Dynasty Warriors crossover ideas that actually makes sense.
Either that or Golden Sun Warriors.
