Topic: Has anybody bought a used Wii U off Ebay?

I've been looking around Ebay lately and have been finding some sweet deals for a Wii U. Of course I'm being wary and checking the feedbacks, but I'm just wondering if anyone else here got a Wii U used or otherwise off the site and if things turned out good. Because this is looking like a very nice and money saving option since there are numerous systems, some with extra items, for way less then the original price. Mind you I'm looking for ones with minimal wear and as mentioned before, from people with great ratings.

I've not met one person willing to buy something off eBay unless it's as a last resort.

I've never bought a console off of eBay (I'm planning to though). I suppose you are fine if the user has a great rating but don't trust my opinion completely since I'm not sure. D:

eBay is a great place to buy stuff, but not so great to sell stuff. I'd rather go to a flea market before anything, then Best Buy, GameStop, and lastly online sellers.
I've literally gone to flea markets and found expensive stuff for a few dollars, than flipped them for what they're actually worth face value.
Try Craigslist. I've seen a few Wii U consoles for sale on there already for $200-300 for deluxe sets. Knock off like $80-130. That's a pretty good deal, I think. There's always the ZombiU bundle, too.

I can honestly say that I've bought both my DSi and 3DS off of ebay with no issues.

Just aim for something new/like new, check the seller feedback, use a bit of common sense, and you should be fine.

You must not know many people then. Tens of millions of people use eBay each day and only a very small percentage of people ever have any kind of problems. Personally, I have over 70 transactions on eBay in the past 12 months and only once was there an issue (book wasn't in as good a shape as described) and I got a refund quickly and easily.

If the seller has a good feedback rating and the item has a detailed description, I say go for it and buy it.

eBay is a relatively safe place to buy things, because they have buyer protection, and so on.
However, please do Nintendo a favour by not buying a used console, when you can still buy a new one.

Plus that ZombiU Bundle is an amazing deal. I kinda wish I wanted for that because I got ZombiU but haven't been able to pick up a Pro Controller yet

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I got my WiiU off eBay but it was new in the box, not used. Depending on the seller, eBay can be either great to order from or awful.

I've bought games from eBay too and they tend to be in much better condition than second hand games from the likes of GAME/Gamestation.

That isn't really doing Nintendo any favour. Either he buys a used one, or someone else buy the used one. Regardless of his purchase, said used system will inevitably be sold.

I personally don't know of anyone but you should be fine.
Just check the seller's rating and make sure that they accept returns.

As long as the seller has good feedback rating and has a good return policy just in case something goes wrong it shouldn't be a problem. Just as others have said common sense plays a big role here.

Could quite possibly be a DUD of DEATH console... Just don't go making any topics in this thread about your freezing WiiU that crashes and drops off the internet constantly

I'd personally wait for an offer and buy it new ratiera than buy it usd.
That's what I did with the Wii U I bought last week: I waited, found out that the vg shop just under where I live was selling the Premium version at 249 € and bought it. At that price, it was a no brainer
Also, keep in mind that buying new you're directly supporting Nintendo

Anyone saying not to buy off of ebay needs to assimilate and quit resisting change. I buy off of ebay all the time, computer components, music equipment, video games, shoes (new shoes, buying used shoes is icky), and if you have a problem you're covered by both paypal and ebay.

The monitor that I'm viewing this webpage on, the video card rendering the picture, the power supply powering said video card, the HDMI cable connecting the monitor and video card, the mouse I used to navigate to this thread, the speakers playing the music I'm listening to, the cell phone charging next to me, the pack of guitar strings on my desk in front of me, the guitar capo I rigged to be a headphone holder, my Xbox 360 controller plugged into my PC, the guitar cable under my feet, the snark on my headstock, the Circle Pad Pro on my desk, the springs on my bass drum pedal, and the charging cradle my 3DS is sitting in all came from ebay. I wholeheartedly recommend ebay for all your buying needs.

If you're looking for games for the Wii U, once you get it, for cheaper and don't want to bid (or if you're not good at it like me xD), then half.ebay.com is really convienent too. I've bought a couple games from there

The Zombi U bundle really is fantastic, I love it. You also get a free artbook of Zombi U, and basically 5$ eSHOP credit for downloading Nintendo Land (that's how it works with the bundle).

Oooohhh, a newly listed (brand new) deluxe Wii U, with free shipping, the seller has 100% positive feedback with a 438 score, and the current bid is at $162 and the auction has only 20 hours to go. If the price remains the same (or at least $250 or lower) tomorrow, I making my mom get an Ebay account.
