Oh, come on. The Neo-Geo AES never gets any love.

Honestly I find it interesting Xbox 360 is above Wii U Pro Controller. They're very similar, but... Wii U Pro controller is just better. It's lighter, and has a good D-Pad, for starters...

Wii Remote and Nunchuck and Dualshock 4 should be lower, NES shouldn't even be on it, and Gamecube should be higher. Other than the Xbox One controller's thumbsticks it's a pretty good controller, and I actually quite like the the "impulse triggers" so, while it should be low, it should at least be on the list. Just my opinion.

My top five:
1. Xbox 360 Controller
2. Gamecube Controller
3. Dualshock 2
4. Wii U Pro Controller
5. Super Nintendo Controller

I just look at which controller can do the most, and that's the GamePad. If the Dual Shock 4 had NFC on it, it would be all the rage.

I'm really not in the mood to get angry right now, so I'll go ahead and watch it later, but a couple of things.

1. What the hell is the N64 controller doing on that list at all?
2. Why are the 360 and DS2 so high, and most notably, above the Wii Remote
3. Why is the GC controller so low.

The DS4 is the most comfortable controller I've ever held, so I'm okay with that at the top, but the 360 and XB1 controllers are horribly generic. They are less comfortable than the GCN and DualShocks, and they kind of lag behind technologically, since they lack the gyros and accelerometers most modern controllers have.

10. Wii U GamePad
9. Wii U Pro Controller
8. Nintendo Gamecube Controller
7. Nintendo 64 Controller
6. NES Controller
5. Wii Remote Plus + Nunchuk
4. Dualshock 2
3. Xbox 360 Controller
2. Super Nintendo Controller
1. Dualshock 4

They're all basically just Nintendo. That's pretty bad research by Game Trailers. Odd that they would never acknowledge any of Sega's Controllers (especially the Dreamcast, and the 6-button pad for the Genesis). Personally, I always liked the controller for the Turbografx-16. The "NES Advantage" was also an excellent controller, as was the joysticks on the NEO GEO.

I'm always wary of these "top 10" lists. It's almost always a revisionist retelling by kids who never experienced the past as it happened. They say it's the last 30 years, but these kids aren't even 30 years old themselves, never mind mature enough to evaluate the controllers at the time when they were the latest tech.

Ya, the Dreamcast controller was way better than the N64's.

Honestly, the N64 controller wasn't that bad. It was odd and that third prong makes no real sense from a design perspective, but the controller never felt wrong in my hands and still doesn't. L button and D-pad were useless, though. That was always a problem.

I don't really take issue with the Wiimote + Nunchuk being on here, either, since the Wiimote + Nunchuk is the way to play more Wii games and actually works quite well.

What DOES bother me, of course, is the inclusion of the NES controller on this list. That thing literally hurts my hands. The buttons get a bit stubborn after a while, and the lack of options is appalling. I also don't see why the GCN controller is so low on the list. It's a great controller and deserves its spot near the top, as it actually includes almost every standard controller button and actually feels good to hold, even for an adult! So much so that Smash players even refuse to use anything but the GCN controller. I also take exception to the GamePad and Wii U Pro controllers being so low. Specifically, the WUPro controller is essentially the lightweight, Nintendium equivalent of the modern standard controller. Why would anyone not sing its praises?

Beyond that, the Dualshock 2 was amazing and deserves to be higher and the Xbox 360 controller was great, but not that great. I suppose this comes down to personal preference as to which one is better, though. I prefer the Dualshock 2, but eh, whatever.

SNES controller is way too high up.

And seriously? Dualshock 4 is number 1? I haven't gotten to use It that much, but I can't imagine the touch pad makes that big a difference. I'd throw it around the same area as the Gamepad and let personal preference decide which one has the higher rank.

The UGXloggery ... really needs an update.

WHAT!? If anything the GC controller is 2nd best right after the Xbox 360 controller (maybe 3rd best since the Xbox One controller is a slightly improved version of the 360).
