which third party franchises and titles would you like to see on the wii U console as new games- be it remakes or sequels? these can't be recent or latest third party games, they have to be games that haven't been made in the last couple of years.
for me, i would love to see darkstalkers, rival schools, megaman, strider, cannon spike, MERCS from capcom fighting vipers, space harrier, streets of rage, shenmue from sega rolling thunder, splatterhouse - namco bandai castlevania, contra, parodius, - konami killer instinct - rare
Contra and Castlevania of course. Plus, Star Wars Battlefront III... I would do anything for that game to come to the Wii U, as it seems that it's likely being made by a studio called Spark Unlimited, and they said that whatever game they're making COULD come to the Wii U, but at this time, it's not. I'd also like to see Final Fantasy come back to the home console, and closer to the traditional formula than 13 was. It would be cool to see 007 return with similar gameplay to either Goldeneye or Nightfire, but in a new game, of course.
Nintendo - Where even first person shooters ooze creativity.
I hope to see Phantasy Star Online 2 on the Wii U because I can't really think of any forgotten third party games that deserve a revival.
While typing it up, I guess I forgot that "forgotten" was even criteria! Although if I recall, none of the home console Castlevanias came to the Wii, did they? If they did, they really don't live up to the older games anyway. I guess the same goes for Contra, also, because it had a version on the DS that was in my opinion nothing short of a complete revitalization.
It's also worth noting that both of those were listed in the OP's post.

Castlevaina had a game come out in 2010. FInal Fantasy had a game this year (turn based battle systems are dead on consoles) 007 has had two games in recent times and another is rumored to be launching with Skyfall.

When the wii came out, it seemed like the perfect console for a JSR sequel; you could use motion sensors to do tricks and spray graffiti using the remote as a can. But now I think the WiiU is an even better console to put a sequel on, with its touch screen!
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

Thanks for reading my reply. /sarcasm
But I'll explain anyway. In my second post, I said that I had forgotten that the franchise necessarily had to be "forgotten." But even then, I defended it by saying that the new games in the franchise are not nearly as legendary as their older counterparts. Goldeneye was pretty cool, but to me it just seems like a Call of Duty that was better adapted for the Wii, and I don't like Call of Duty. Even in my original post, which I can only assume you would've had to read to reply, I said I wanted it to return with similar gameplay to the original Goldeneye or Nightfire. Bloodstone wasn't that great, apparently, but that wasn't even on the Wii. Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 were not even as good as older 3D versions of the game, and again, were not even on the Wii. In my research, I discovered that there has been a Castlevania game on the Wii, but it was not very good and not even close to the status of the originals.
Next time, at least read the original post before replying. It saves us both a lot of time.

Too bad this will probably never happen.
Well JSR is coming to X Box and PS3 this summer, so it's not forgotten
MORE CHOCOBO DUNGEON. NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE REALISE THAT'S THE BEST Wii GAME EVER.
cute self-parody or...?
oh you and your love of somewhat above average video games
That says more about the quality of what was on the Wii than my taste in games though.
Chocobo's Dungeon is my second most played Wii game. I like roguelikes, and it happens to be one of the better roguelikes out there. Plus chocbos. Winning combination for me.
