Topic: Excited for Mario Kart Wii U XD

Me too. I don't play a lot of Mario games but this game I'm planning to get in the future.

I love a bit of Mario Kart!

I don't want to be the guy who isn't excited about Mario Kart...but I'm not excited. Especially if it's coming out so soon, which means less to add new things I would assume. Part of it is that I desperately need to play more than 1 racing series again, part of it is that they're really gonna have to blow me away to get me to buy another Mario Kart. I really hope this game goes all out and does something really surprising and new.

I think Mario Kart is better off as a portable game anyways, that's just me though.

I will wait to see what is on the next train.

I disagree (though my favorite is the DS game) because it is so rare that my friends happened to have DS/3DS with them versus just playing Double Dash or Wii with controllers. Like even Mario Kart 7 which I've criticized a ton was a blast the literally 2 times I played it in local multiplayer.

Yeah, I don't think I would play a portable Mario Kart much if I had it. Really the only draw for me is mutliplayer.

I find myself playing the portable versions much longer, reason why I said that before. I guess part of it is because I live out in the middle of nowhere and rarely see any of my friends, lol.

Not really. Mario Kart 7 was good but by the books . This game will have an even shorter iteration time than 7 which needed retro to help with the track work. So either this game will be half baked out of the oven or this may be Retro's next game,

Plus I want F-zero more too give Mario room to breathe.

I hope it's another Double Dash style game. Character unique powerups, hold two at once, that was cool. I know it'll never happen, but I'd like a mode where I can see what powerup I'm about to get before I drive into it rather than it being decided by slot machine.

I will buy this one as soon as its released.

Would be cool if you could use the gamepad as a rear view mirror

I'm sorta feeling the same way. I mean, I'm sure once I see it in action with the fancy HD graphics and whatever new features it comes with I'll be super excited, but until then it's just like, "Oh, another Mario Kart... Whoopie."

I am very hyped for this. Mario Kart 7 was the best yet IMO so heres to more green shells and less blue shells

As long as Waluigi, Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr., Birdo, Petey Piranha, King Boo, and Toadette are present (in spite of their MK7 absence), and that abomination Honey Queen is gone, I will be happy.

I'm looking forward to it. I can always spin for a good round of Mario Kart.

I personally don't think this game was rushed - if you remember back to the January Nintendo Direct for Wii U, they officially announced the Mario Kart. They said that it would be playable at E3, meaning it must be nearing completion and gave the impression that it had been in development for some time. Same goes for the upcoming 3D Mario.

All in all, I'm looking forward to it. Interested to see how the GamePad will be used.

Long as it's more similar to MK DS,and not Wii,I'll be looking forward to it.
But as it is now,I'm happy enough with Sonic Racing.

I would be but considering how stale the franchise has become. Meh, however if they were to shake up the game play a bit(Speeding up the karts,less item spam and more emphasis on drifting and remembering the track) i`d bite.
