I’m looking to sweep up a Wii U in September when I have some floating cash even though I am a Sony fan boy and own a PS3 & a PS Vita, I still have a few Wii games left over so I have my eyes peeled on a Wii U.
They should drop the price of the black Wii U console to £200 or £240 if it is a bundle. Then this way they can sweep up customers that refuse to spend £350 on a PS4 or £1000 on an Xbox One.
Is anyone else looking to sweep up an additional console the Wii U to what they already on this autumn/winter fall?
If PS4 releases and is as amazing as it sounds, then it will sell like hotcakes. Wii U however has a huge advantage over Xbox one Pricewise. I'm still gonna pick up a PS4 on the first price drop. Wii U is still a great buy, although the lack of games so far is saddening until the end of this fall when a good sum of games will be released. So yea id wait till September or even November to get one, because then you will have titles like Pikmin, Call Of Duty Ghosts, Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed 4, Batman Arkham Origins, SplinterCell, Sonic, Wonderful 101.... Get my point? LOTS of releases by mid November. (Not to mention a great after Christmas buy.. ZELDA WIND WAKER REMAKE HD)
I'll play most third party titles on my PS3, all that interest me on the Wii U is Zelda Wind Waker HD, New Super Mario Bros U, New Super Luigi U, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros U & Donky Kong Tropical Freeze.
I think alot of people do that and thats what makes nintendo fail with third party games. Either they need to make playing third party games on their systems for attractive or we need to give more support toward third party gaming on them.
If i could like accounts and play my downloaded games on any of the Wii U's i had, i would probably look to invest in one for my bedroom. But seems im limited with the account system Nintendo has in place ill stick with one for now.
Im praying they change that soon so no matter what your account can link to any console. (For online play when round friends or multiple consoles in house etc)
You can send your system into Nintendo to get it fixed or replaced, though. Alot of people tend to forget to add that little tid bit of info... If your console dies or breaks, send it into Nintendo.
The only real time you'll lose your games is if you lose your system, or sell it without deleting the games on the system.
I'm sure they'll figure something out. It's not as good as it could be, but it's not as bad as many say, either.
Well what about getting on your account to play online if your at a friends house? Is that possible? ( I know I probably sound dumb asking these questions, but my internet down at the moment and I have yet to try Nintendo network.)

Ya. Just sign into your Nintendo Network ID. You won't have your single player save data, but your online rank/record is bound to be there.
You can't transfer save files yet either. They're still working on the OS and the network, so not all the features Wii U will have are running yet.
They added 2 HDDs as a possibility, faster game loading from the menu and back, the disc doesn't read if your playing a different game besides the disc, and it can check online while the power is off for updates.
Hopefully I can get those updates soon when my internet is back. OK sorry for getting off topic and thanks haha
It will tell you what the updates do, or you can go to Nintendo.com for info. They definitely aren't done yet, so we can't really judge the system until the final OS is up and running.
Even still, there will most likely be more improvements throughout its lifetime, but this first year is basically Nintendo getting ready to go the full generation.
@OP
Ya. I think tons of people will be buying the system for MK8, Mario 3D World, etc. There will be alot of new games.
Oh you mean, people looking to grab a wii U if there's a price drop?
...I dunno, I honestly don't think there'll be too many deals, what with the new consoles coming. That's why I just went out and bought one in May.
I knew that was going to happen... At least they'll get Wind Waker HD or Game & Wario or something for free possibly, but I never really saw any point in waiting to pick one up in the first place.
I'm still fine with Tekken Tag 2(some others, but whatever), some VC, and the Wii games I have for now.
Yes I'm not too satisfied with my selection at the moment and I have yet to transfer all my data over from my wii to Wii u, so I can't play my zeldas or anything:/
