I'd get a lot more satisfaction from that than I'd get from the Wii U's library.

Do it then. Are you even gonna get any of the 8th gen consoles?

Please for the love of all that is decent just stop. I'm not even going to try to explain to you how you go around bashing the Wii U at every opportunity, because I really don't care. I do know however, that that is one heck of a flame bait comment right there, and that this thread is already poised to go spiraling off-topic.

Back on topic... I think the Wii U will be THEE console this holiday. There's alot that's going to be available by the holidays.

I don't understand why everyone is demanding a price drop. That alone will not make many more consumers buy the system. The 3DS was mostly successful because good titles were released around the same time as the price drop. The Wii U needs software to attract consumers and lately it's been pretty dry.

I donate every holiday so I already will lol

And probably not anytime soon. My glorious PC will carry me far and nearly every Nintendo franchise is represented on my 3DS so I'm fine there.

You don't think a price drop will help significantly?

If there's a reason not to do it, it's because you can't use that card later. It would totally help though

We should totally have like a friendly NL betting thread for sales and such.

Like changing our avatar to something the winner chooses if console X sells so many systems lol

You donate $350, plus your state tax every year?

Maybe the money you donate will be used to buy a Wii U. Santa will be so proud.

I donate nearly $1000 every year to Childrens Miracle Network, that's like my thing (actually last year was a LOT more, but nobody would believe me lol)

And hey if a Wii U will make one of those kids happy, I'm all for it

I think sales will be much better this holiday, but I don't see it being the top selling console. I actually think it will be beat by the PS3 or 360.

I don't see how. By then Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U will all be available, with their last gen counterparts.

I'm pretty sure people will just take out the extra money to get the 8th gen consoles. There will probably be Xbox 360s for $100 and PS3s for $150 or something, but the Wii will still be there for $100 or something, too.

I know Sony and Microsoft plan on continuing to sell 7th gen, but Nintendo doesn't really have that option. So they have that much more reason to make sure their console beat last, and next gen.

They have to make Wii U look more appealing than 7th gen, and equal or better than other 8th gen at a cheaper price.
Nintendo can do that. Not saying other companies don't matter, or can't do the same, but Nintendo has the advantage by selling 5 million consoles inthe past year.

EDIT: Plus, Wii U still has Wii BC. Who knows what they'll do, but that adds more value to the Wii U without doing much of anything.

I'm positive the following will sell the Wii U for christmas

  • Angry Birds Trilogy & Angry Birds Star Wars
  • The Wonderful 101
  • Pikmin 3
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker HD
  • Super Mario 3D Land

The Wonderful 101 by itself is not a system seller

Neither is Angry Birds, a game everyone already has access to lol

The point is that Wii U will have more than 1 game people will probably consider buying. If they bundle WW HD, that's one game right off the bat. W101, Pikmin 3, Mario, etc.
The Wii U will have plenty of video games. Whether you think those games are worth it or not is up to you, but alot people want Mario Kart, Smash Bros, X, etc.

I don't care if you buy PS4 or Xbox One. I think Wii U is worth it, and those are my reasons, as well as a ton of other peoples', probably.

The Wii U will do just fine. I think a price drop is a poor idea. They are already loosing money on each one they sell. I suggest a price drop of the games they develop. When an average person buys a system for a gift they want to buy a few games. They will see a shelf of xbox one titles for 60 and ps4 for 60 but what if they saw a shelf of brand new AAA titles for 40? This may piss off 3rd party's and it may cut into their bread and butter but a lot more profit will come from selling 15 million mario 3d lands than 6 million. Then again I don't rum a huge muti million dollar business and neither does anybody on this thread.

Angry Birds is shovel ware. This is how 3rd party's do it. Look im helping out a trouble console by "giving" them one AAA title a two year old port with no dlc at full price and 3 pieces of crap. I'm such a humble third party. (Looking at you Activsion, Ubisoft, EA)

I'm guessing "shovelware" will become the next exhaustingly overused internet term, just like "lazy" and "boycott"

I swear, Angry Birds Space or whatever better be the same price as the app store version on smart phones and tablets. I just don't see why anyone would ever buy Angry Birds for more than $4.
I bought Fruit Ninja Kinect for $10, because I just got Kinect and was interested in how it worked, and I understood they added Kinect so it was worth more.

In the end, it's all on 3rd parties regarding how well their game sells. If Angry Birds sells like crap, I won't be surprised, but you never know.

EDIT: I think Angry Birds will sell on Wii U if it costs the same as it does elsewhere.

Scar whatever you said has nothing to do with what I said lol

The quality of the game is absolutely meaningless. Entirely, utterly meaningless. It doesn't matter if the game is 'worth it'

Wonderful 101 does not have the star factor and will not receive the advertising to shift a significant amount of systems. You can think so because the game is going to be great and all that crap, but it is not a system seller. The sooner people stop believing this, the less disappointed you all will be.

As for Angry Birds? Makes absolutely zero difference. People can already play these games for a much cheaper price. Nobody is out there thinking 'hey you know what, I'd love to buy a $250 console and a $40 game so I can play a 99 cent game from my phone'

Nobody. lol. You can believe the Wii U is going to sell 500 million copies this holiday because it is God's gift to gaming and all that, but those two games will have absolutely nothing to do with it.

AlexSays

SCRAPPER392

@AlexSays
What do you think is good then? There's more than just one game on Wii U, and most of them are considerable for the most part to many.

Also, I just looked up AngryBirds Space, and it looks like it'll be at least $10 because it will have a disc. That is absurd, and I hope Activision doesn't blame anyone but themselves if that doesn't go well.
