Here's the deal. We have no idea what the price of this game is until Nintendo announces the MSRP/RRP.
Stores have no idea. They can guess at it, but they are as much in the dark as we are.
I just feel bad for whoever preorders on Amazon with a "guaranteed price" lock because they don't know any better.
That's why Amazon overcharges at first, and then brings down the price later when they have more information. However, there are a few instances when you can catch them offering a lower price.

I am really hoping that the figures just grant Captain Toad special powers. Like Mario would give him a Fire Flower, DK could give him big fists to punch stuff. Star Fox could give him a laser gun.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.

Captain Toad is the only thing I really care about in the stream. I'm already sold on Bayonetta and Smash so no need to spoil myself further with those titles. CT however looks appealing enough but I need to see more before I decide if I'll be picking it up alongside a Wii U this holiday.

It's strange that Nintendo isn't supplying it with amiibo support right out of the box. I guess they want to maximize Smash Wii U sales.

Awesome! That's a neat surprise. The game has so many levels, too! I think I'm a bit more excited for the game to release, especially at its price point.
