Topic: Are wii game being re released?

Heard a rumour?

Not heard anything that shows proof that Nintendo are re-releasing any Wii games on Wii U. They could do some hd remakes like Sony have in the future but I doubt they will.

There is nothing official even hinting at this. It's very possible Nintendo will do HD remakes for some Wii games (after all, they did a few Wii remakes of GCN games) but I wouldn't expect them so early on.

There's no word about this and I haven't even heard any rumours of Wii games being rereleased. It's possible, but don't count on it.

Extremely doubtful, IMO. Nintendo is clearly out of breath trying to keep up with the need for first-party titles on Wii U and 3DS, and of course there's the Wii U Virtual Console, the 3DS Miiverse and tweaks to TVii and other things. I can's see them devoting time to Wii re-releases. ... maybe another 3D remake for the 3DS.

I could see Nintendo brining HD versions of Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 to the eShop, but nothing's announced or confirmed though.

I could even see something like that too or with Mario Galaxy 3 a bundle including 1 and 2 in HD. Would make sense.

I heard it to back in sept. On wiiwarewave but ever since... Nothing... but I bet it's true which is why I'm holding out on 007 Golden eye, Skyward sword, Kirby RtDL, Rhythm Heaven, and a few pthers

I read somewhere I believe in fact I think it was this site where Nintendo isn't going to make anymore Wii games themselves. Which makes the Kirby Anniversary collection the last Nintendo published game for the Wii. I dont know about third parties but with the release of Epic Mickey 2 on the Wii I would say that third party companies are making Wii games still.

OT, I don't think it'll happen, and it's a crying shame if it doesn't. It's easy money for Nintendo, and I know a couple people who would really be happy to play their favorite games in HD.

I actually really think Nintendo will do this eventually but probably not for years. Nintendo likes to charge us for rereleases, easy money. I mean look at New Play Controls and the two 3D remakes of N64 games. Also the Super Mario Advance series. Oh, and 3D Classics on 3DS. Super Mario 64 DS, Metroid Prime Trilogy... I think it's fairly likely but not for awhile. Right now they have to worry giving us new Wii U games before they start giving us rereleases, else they would likely receive more complaints that the system keeps just having "ports".

I'd like to see some that's for sure. Wii U Xenoblade would be an insta-buy for me!

Ooops yeah I thought the OP was asking if WIi games were being released not rereleased.
