I was just curious about pre-orders from the rest of the community. What pre-orders out there and where do you currently have? Is there anything that needs to be given away as an pre-order extra for you to make the pre-order as opposed to just waiting for the game to come out.
Personally as of this writing I have a pre-order on Mario Kart 8 and Watch Dogs (Wii-U) both at amazon. Personally I don't care much for the giveaways unless they are game add-ons, although I'll take them and I usually want an game add-on to make the pre-order, Mario Kart is the exception. How about everyone else? I look forward to your answers.

Oh sorry, I only look at the Wii/Wii-u sections (and there e-Shops) (I don't own other systems) and those were the pre-orders I was interested in.

I rarely pre-ordered games in the past, but I did for both DKC:TF and MK8, mainly due to the fact that Nintendo games tend to hold their value, and with so few top games around, I can't afford to wait! With my PS3, I usually waited 6 months or so for all the DLC to come out and then a GotY edition to be released with all DLC for >£30.

I expect so, as long as you are ok with not playing big games on release you can save a lot of money. Before the Wii U came out I hadn't spent more than £25 on a game in years except for GTAV, because I wanted that on release day and got a decent deal.
I have MK8 paid off in full, and five bucks down on Destiny for PS4. After E3 I'll decide what time I want to pre-order Smash Wii U and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. Money for me is kinda tight, so I'm skipping Smash 3DS in Summer, and saving my money for the fall. I didn't really want Smash 3ds as much anyway. I find that doing pre-orders and paying for games like paying for a car helps me to budget my money.

I paid for the Mario Kart 8 Bundle about two weeks ago.
I would only preorder if by doing so I would get something that I really want. (Preordered Windwaker for the Gamecube to get the Master Quest bonus disk).
Or for a worthwhile discount.
