Topic: A bad problem

OK, so I have a REALLY annoying issue going on: I can't preorder the wii U.

I have $170 And get $10 a week for allowence, so I am able to preorder the wii U.

BUT MY GRANDPARENTS WON'T LET ME.

It's fine if they had a good reason, but here is what they say: "You already have a wii, just preorder the games". But I can't seem to convince them that it's not the same as the old wii, with them giving the excuse: "It can't sell out like the wii did." But guess what? It's being sold out already, and I'm very annoyed as I can't seem to convince them. Anyone else having a similar problem/can give me advice?

If you had a gamecube then you can explain it to them probably. Maybe throw in an analogy or two. :3. And say the deluxe is already sold out.

Ask them why VHS tapes won't work on DVD players.

Just show them the reports online of them it selling out and playing games the Wii can't.

I don't know what to say. It's sort of your money, but also not really. I have a job, so my parents can be upset; in the end it isn't their money I'm spending, it's mine.
If I were in your position, I would show them the E3 conferences and Nintendo Directs that show it is an entirely new and epic system. I'm pretty sure they'll be swayed by the HD gaming, NintendoTVii, GamePad, and new games. If they're big sports fans or watch TV a lot, just show them NintendoTVii.

Do not do that! They'll think it's just a special new controller for the Wii! Show'em all the rage of Bayonetta 2 being Wii U exclusive. Ey'll relealize it's got to be a special console.
