Yet Nintendo owes us an explanation why they've been removed! Rare may have developed the games in the first place, but it's Nintendo, not Rare, who owns the rights to the DKC trilogy.

Horrible post is very horrible. You should feel ashamed of yourself. I rather play a DKC game than any Mario game (except SMB3 maybe). I already have all three DKC games downloaded, and I'm glad that I did.

I am wondering if the agreement with Microsoft was only good for the Wii and now that Nintendo has released the Wii U the agreement is no good. Maybe they are trying to work out another contract with Microsoft and when they do it will be back.

Yeah I never liked DKC that much either...

I had lot of fun playing DKC2 and DKC3 back in the old days but I remember I've tried to play DKC1 in co op mode with a cousin and I truly hated it.

Is it some way to trick and download this games? i have only the first one.

I remember when other VC games were removed you could access them by the Nintendo Channel and download them but they quit this games too in the info channel.

I am afraid not. The only way you can download a game that has been removed from the Wiishop is if you bought it before they pulled it. If you didn't buy it before hand sadly you are out of luck.

I'm sure by now Ebay has a couple SD cards with that game on it, try looking there.

The only part of this that makes me sad is that it might mean no DKL on 3DS otherwise I can just play this on my wiiu

No, its not as good as Super Mario World but it still had its place. I enjoyed it because it was fun to play.

@Bass_XO: That's cool that you enjoy Donkey Kong Country. A lot of people do and more power to them. Miyamoto seems to agree with me on how mediocre Donkey Kong Country really is, “Donkey Kong Country proves that players will put up with mediocre gameplay as long as the art is good.”

Even then I never liked the graphics either... I don't dig that pre-rendered art. I do however liked DKC Returns.

There's nothing 'mediocre' about DKC2.

Saddening to see this go from the service. Luckily, I have all three, so it doesn't affect me much. Sucks for others that haven't gotten them though. The gameplay of the series was ok, though definitely not the greatest. I'm a guy that likes platformers, so I find the overall gameplay solid enough though to be fun.
