You should find a lilypad right by the lake, use the squirt mechanic to take it to the cave (the one with the logs). Be quick, the lilipad decaying.

How can I tell which world to go to next? I accidentally went to World 4 instead of 2. Is there a sign that says which world # it is?

A quicker, but more dangerous way would be to climb the Windmill, and once you reach the backside, jump + dive towards the logs, quickly jump out of the water and hover towards the nearest log.

There's no specific order in Sunshine, the worlds aren't numbered. However, if you press Z, and click on the Shine Sprite, you'll see a list of all the unlocked worlds and the Shines you have got. The order they appear in on the list, is the same as the order in which you will unlock them.

Where's the windmill?

Remember the place where you fought that huge puking piranha
plant? That's where the windmill is at.

Yeah, this is the route I usually take when I do that episode.

No, not Episode 5, the place where you fight him in Episode 2. The part where you had to go out towards the lake, then go up the hill, hover across the bridge, and then follow the path spiraling up towards the windmill.

So what he's saying is follow that spiraling path in Episode 6, but only until you reach the back of the windmill, if you look down at the lake, you'll see a set of logs and a cave. Just hover over there and jump off the logs into the cave.
