This is quite an amusing R-Type clone for the NES called Magic Dragon. It's actually so bad it's hilarious, nobody can complain about the flicker on the Master System version now at least!

It reminds me both of R-Type (3:14) and Parodius (3:45).
Other than the plain music, I don't see much wrong with it.

The graphics are terrible, Master System owners would have rolled around laughing in the days if they saw this shambling mockery of a game!

That's actually sad, really. This gameplay footage makes me appreciate the Turbografx version of R-Type I have on the VC, 'cause that clone was just blatant. And that battleship on the third stage looks like it was lifted from a Darius shmup.

I wouldn't. 'cause it looks like a dumbed down, much easier version of R-Type. I actually like being challenged from a game, and it looks easy here.

I always thought it was ironic that Nintendo published the arcade version, but Sega had it on its home system.

Looks like a shooter from Action 52.
