I've loved and played Nintendo games since The Nes but the game/games I've never played is Kirby.
I've played it on the smash games but never Kirby's own game.
Shame on me !
I never touched a Kirby or yoshi game. Always thought they looked too easy and boring. So really, I’m not ashamed I didn’t play them. But one I can think of is xenoblade. Friend gave me xenoblade 2 and I never started it up.
@Thwomp_Stomper You should try super mario world 2: Yoshi's island. Yes baby Mario crying can be annoying but besides that it's a really good game and the later levels aren't just a cakewalk

I'm fine with the floating sound on the SNES, but the replacement grunting sound from Yoshi's Story (and backported into the GBA version of Yoshi's Island) is nearly as annoying.
I'd be hard pressed to think of one. I don't feel ashamed for not playing games generally speaking, and some of the closest to that are Japan only anyway (though having played it, it would be shameful if I hadn't ever played Mother 3).
Honestly, considering how I love Kirby and played Triple Deluxe quite a while ago, it is increasingly inexcusable that I haven't played the widely beloved Planet Robobot. That's probably the closest example I can think of...and that game isn't that old.
Maybe the later Punchout games? I dunno, I didn't get super into the NES original when I finally played it on Wii U so...eh...
I call myself a big time Zelda fan, but the only adult timeline game I've played is Wind Waker (and that was in 2003). I've never played Four Swords Adventures or Link Between Worlds either, and haven't completed Oracle of Ages or Adventure of Link.
As others have said Xenoblade, I've never played any of the games in the series. Also the only Fire Emblem game I've played was the mobile version so that's a bit average. But I'm not hugely into RPGs so at least it makes sense that I haven't played them
In my mind what's worse is that I never played Metroid: Other M. Not because it's a game people put on the must-play list or anything like that. More because I picked it up for the Wii in late 2011, well and truly a bargain bin game towards the end of the Wii's life. Between picking my 3DS and getting Ocarina of Time and the release of Skyward Sword. I'm not sure if I even booted the game up, it's still sitting in it's case unplayed. Which is pretty shameful given that, despite the criticism of it, it wasn't THAT poorly reviewed
