It's okay. Had it since I was a kid. I like all of the in-game secrets, but I've never cared for the cane bouncing mechanic.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Yep. I got one Christmas morning 89 and beat it 3 days later. The only reason that it took me that long was cause I got alot of NES games that Christmas. I still have that cartridge too.

Definitely played/owned/loved it!

I recall renting it 4 or 5 times as a kid before my mother eventually just bought me a copy for Xmas/birthday LOL! Good fuzzy memories associated with this game

I played it for the first time yesterday, to see what the fuss was all about.
Frankly, I wasn't very impressed.

Did you play it through to the end or did you just play the first level and say, "I'm not impressed."?

I have it complete with box, manual, and even that strange Styrofoam thing that was in every NES box that we used to pretend was a telephone!

I played through the whole game on easy mode.

Did you get the best ending and the hidden treasures?

Though if you're not a fan of platformers, there's no way you'll ever like it all that much.

I found all HP extensions and two hidden treasures. Not sure about the ending. I did get the final treasure chest, so, yes?
Also, I like platformers. It's just that there isn't much to this game. It only has 5 levels (and no proper final stage), and nothing truly stands out about the gameplay. It's not bad. It's just... okay. As in merely adequate. The graphics are okay, the music is okay. Actually, I'd rate the full package as "okay". Nothing to write home about. I'm not sure why this game is held in such high regard around here. Nostalgia goggles at work, maybe? Anyway, Capcom did a lot better with Darkwing Duck, in my opinion.

Yep. Back in the day this one was rented a lot. Probably would have saved my parents some money if they had just bought it for me instead!

Got it (and still have it) as a birthday present February 2nd, 1990. Rented it and loved it before then! I can't wait for Remastered!

Like a week ago for the first time and I got 865 million total (dunno if that stands for the best ending, but I think it was pretty good for a first run). The game is of average quality (at least nowadays it would be considered a 7 out of 10 at best). And I also agree that it didn't have a proper ending level (had to go through Transylvania for the 3rd time because I was missing the key for the African Mines when I finished it for the first).

I stayed up all night with a friend when I was 9 and beat this game. Super epic, and one of those games that just sticks with you forever. I really wish the remake was coming to the 3DS instead of just to the Wii U. I don't really see a good reason why it can't.

The music in the Transylvania level is very memorable and at one point it starts to feel really 'duckish'.

I can't help but all the NES Disney games (made by Capcom) were very similar to Mega Man. I think they just reused the same program and changed the graphic and some details.

Yeah, it's a pretty fun little game. I'm excited to see what the remake will do but I think it will turn out pretty well.

THe only one I found similar to Mega Man was Darkwing Duck.
