Topic: Why gamers want Nintendo to buy third party devs?

There's really almost no reason why Nintendo has to buy Capcom or Konami or heck even Square because they will easily sabotage the IP's and replace then with Nintendo characters instead or will do it in a way that it would potentially ruin the franchise. Even then.....how does having more IP give games all the excuse that Nintendo's also hardcore when their own IP's themselves are hardcore enough like Fire Emblem or Donkey Kong? Really........

How are people easily able to pin point that Nintendo can easily make Capcom to top notch if they won't have full control over their IP's? It just doesn't make any sense in the long run. Personally, I wish Nintendo buys SEGA because that's what majority would want instead of Capcom being owned by Nintendo.

I do think despite it being a partially stupid idea that Nintendo would never do with anything bigger than a mid-tier developer, there is some logic to it. Simply because A. Fair or not, Nintendo has had significant issues with major 3rd party support unless they make Japanese handheld games and B. Because clearly a large chunk of the issues with many major gaming companies today is terrible management and higher ups that could easily be replaced while keeping the people who, y'know, actually make the games. And considering Capcom's terrible business/PR decisions + their clear ability to still make good games + their continued relevance to Nintendo fans, it makes some sense.

What you are saying is already happening, and they don't even own the 3rd parties. Tekken had Nintendo outfits, Bayonetta is getting Nintendo stuff, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will have a Link and Samus suit, Rayaman had Mario and Luigi costumes, Pac-man, Sonic, and Mega Man are in Smash Bros...

They have already done a ton of crossover type stuff. Then there's Shin Megami Tensai × Fire Emblem. Alot of 3rd parties are already cooperating with them fairly well, if you ask me. It just doesn't have anything to do with GTA, EA Sports, and some other games, so people get all worked up.

I don't think anyone wants Nintendo to buy a third party company for the sake of buying a third party company. But the problem is, Capcom is in trouble. If it ever comes to the point of Capcom either going bankrupt or getting bought up. I'd rather see Nintendo acquire Capcom, than Sega or Konami.
