Why would I lie? There would be no gain in that. Xbox 360 won me over like 6 months before PS3 even came out. It costed less, too, and did everything just as much except bluray.
Actually, I can confirm DNLA works better on Xbox 360. I haven't tried it with my Wii U yet, though...
I'm not saying PS3 is completely useless, they just fall short on all fronts compared to either Xbox 360 or Wii U IMO. I'd rather play Halo, Gears, or Smash Bros. anyday.
Uncharted = Gears of War
Killzone = Halo
PS AllStars = Smash Bros.
All those PS3 games came out later than their comparable counterparts.

Going by your logic, you shouldn't have a Wii U because Sony and Microsoft has executed everything the Wii U offers, except to a higher degree. Everything besides the controller, that is.

Plus, I'd love to know why certain games being late dismisses them as enjoyable and playable.

Lastly, I'd like to point out that your comparisons are silly and uninformed.

...I could cry. They're in the same genre, yes, but each of them do things differently. Next thing you know, you'll be saying Mario = Sonic because they're both platformers...

Dude PS3 has so many games that Xbox has no counterpart in any way. Twisted Metal, God of War, Heavy Rain, Little Big Planet, and Journey to name a few. Aside from being TPSs Uncharted and Gears are also very different but you act like their pretty similar. That aside why does the later years of these systems not count? You have a PS3 but you seem to act like its games aren't worth because some their "counterparts" came out on xbox first. How is it this extremely relevant now? PS3 has too many exclusives to even all rember all in one sitting.

Geez, I wasn't expecting so many responses. Haha.

Anyways, the difference is between the titles, is that Nintendo and Microsoft don't directly take concepts from other games and call it new.

Someone at GameStop said that PS Battle Royal was running on the 'Super Smash Bros. engine', and I seriously believed them. I was actually convinced Sony was on Nintendo's side, as crazy as that sounds.
All I could think while playing Uncharted was Gears of War.

@Crono_Cross
The fact that Nintendo does everything a little better than what's out NOW, at this very moment, is more than enough reason to want a Wii U. Were actually getting a Lego game not based on something else, Monster Hunter is in HD for the first time outside of Japan in the clearest sound possible right now, and the Gamepad has tech like NFC that Activision and now Disney are trying to push.

Once something comes out on the market, everything after will either build off that, or try to replicate it. The consumer really does have the power, and progress always wins. You can thank more little kids instinctually choosing 3DS over Vita. Having the demo PS Vita behind a case and usually frozen does not appeal to anyone IMO.

KarrotMan

Growing up I always went with a Nintendo Portable and a Sony Home Console as my gaming setup for three generations. I guess I'm tied to those due to Nostalgia and being the conservative gamer as I am, I can only choose to go with two Gaming devices per generation.

Lol! That's why mankind calls those things genres. Nintendo weren't the first to make side scrollers, puzzle games or any other genre for that matter. Nintendo takes the already established formula and, like you said later in your post, builds off of it. Just like Sony, Microsoft and every other developer out there.

Someone at GameStop said that PS Battle Royal was running on the 'Super Smash Bros. engine', and I seriously believed them.

Look up the word gullible on Dictionary.com.

The same could be said about Sony's PlayStation 3. Those features are already out, but Sony improves on them for the most part. (Though, I'd love to know what Nintendo does better than its competition in that regard.)

Those games you listed are either A) a LEGO game or B) an expansion pack of a Wii game with an HD coat. Not that those two games will cement Wii U's potential success.

Nintendo and Sony. I love most of Nintendo's franchises, and I love the way Sony does their hardware and some of their exclusive titles.

Microsoft have never been relevant to me.

People are correcting you because you are making incorrect statements,

Anyways, the difference is between the titles, is that Nintendo and Microsoft don't directly take concepts from other games and call it new.

Yes they do. On the hardware side of things there is not a single piece of technology in Nintendo's consoles that wasn't invented by someone else beforehand. Nintendo took the technology and tossed it into a games console.

In terms of software Nintendo is publishing Bayonetta 2, a clone. Halo is not the first sci-fi themed FPS. Mario Golf and Mario Tennis came after Everybody's Golf - a Sony-published franchise. In fact, Camelot developed Everybody's Golf 1, and then went and reskinned it for Mario Golf.

That's right. Mario Golf is a literal ripoff of a Sony franchise. No one seems to remember that. On this site, anyway. They're too busy claiming Sony, which came up with an original formula for All-Stars Battle Royale, apparently "copied" an entirely different game.

And so on and so on. You are letting your hated for Sony to blind you to the actual facts. Learn to separate personal bias from factual information, please.

Someone at GameStop said that PS Battle Royal was running on the 'Super Smash Bros. engine', and I seriously believed them.

Unlucky for you he was wrong then.

All I could think while playing Uncharted was Gears of War.

All I could think while playing Mario Sunshine is Gex 3D :-/

The fact that Nintendo does everything a little better than what's out NOW, at this very moment, is more than enough reason to want a Wii U. Were actually getting a Lego game not based on something else,

Nintendo has nothing to do with the Lego game.

Monster Hunter is in HD for the first time outside of Japan in the clearest sound possible right now,

Nintendo has nothing to do with the Monster Hunter games. Also, "Nintendo" isn't doing Monster Hunter better. It already exists in HD on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

and the Gamepad has tech like NFC that Activision and now Disney are trying to push.

What.

Firstly both Skylanders and the Disney game don't use the gamepad's NFC. Secondly, they both are being released on the other consoles. So it's not like it's a Nintendo-exclusive game.

Once something comes out on the market, everything after will either build off that, or try to replicate it. The consumer really does have the power, and progress always wins. I don't even want to touch how wrong this statement is.

SCRAPPER392

I was in disbelief when I heard that. It totally made sense.
The Lego game coming out on Wii U is based on soley the Lego world, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is the first game of that series completely localized for other regions in HD with the clearest of surround sound. There is no Monster Hunter for PS with cross play outside of Japan either. That's a pretty big thing for the gaming community.

EDIT: I understand Skylanders doesn't use the NFC chip, but it CAN. My bet is that Disney will use the gamepad to read their figures for the Wii U version, and everyone will push Skylanders aside in favor of the Disney version. Disney has a way bigger fanbase, and consumers won't have to deal with the portal thing. Disney and the consumer save money from Nintendo making it a standard feature. Win.

I mostly play portables and Microsoft is kinda lacking in that market so I guess Nintendo and Sony (love my 3DS and my Final Fantasy Machine PSP).
Thankfully, I can play Viva Piñata on my 3DS so all is good.

How is it not? PS and Xbox haven't done that when it was possible for years. Those other Lego games were Lego games with a different setting. The City Lego sets are strictly Lego owned.

Exactly. How can a Microsoft/Rare owned IP get on DS? Banjo Kazooie was on GBA well after Rare was Microsoft's. Age of Empires, Geometry Wars, and Viva Pinata. Those were all Xbox 360/Microsoft exclusive, but still managed to get on Nintendo handhelds.

Explain to me how it's Sony's and Microsoft's fault that Capcom and Lego didn't broaden its potential.

I was pointing the finger at PS for not having a cross playable MH outside of Japan.
Maybe Microsoft will just run Windows 8 on the next Xbox. Who knows, but it would broaden the whole market for Microsoft. Lego is a different story. I see Marvel and DC Lego figures all the time. They don't really care what brand they sell. They leave it up to the kids to choose what super hero company is more appealing, and go with it.
