Really looks like they just took a random list of cool things they saw in other games and mixed them all together.
Has anyone tried Kingdom Come Deliverance yet? The reviews were fairly good except for saying it had a lot of terrible bugs. I think they've done 2 patches in the first week though so I wonder how much that's been fixed.
@Dezzy I'm interested, but from what I've seen it's an ambitious game that could've used a little more time in the oven. The game also focuses on realism to an extreme point, for better or worse. It means you're managing your sleep and hunger levels (among others), sword fights get you killed easily if you're outnumbered, etc. It sounds great from a simulation aspect. However, without being able to save anywhere, it could lead to losing hours of gameplay since you can only save in beds where you're allowed to sleep in. Maybe I'll get it another time, when it's all patched up and when it's a bit cheaper.
Yeah some of that seems unnecessarily realistic. If they want to really go for realism over gameplay, they should just have you randomly die of the plague half way through the story.
@Dezzy I think the game takes place a while after the major outbreak of the plague in medieval Europe. And to be fair, from what I've seen, it wouldn't surprise me if you randomly died on the streets somewhere due to a disease. Hygiene is one of the stats, or cleanliness. It also affects how people interact with you.
I bet OCD people would love that. Although I don't think they knew much about hygiene at the time. They certainly didn't know how germs worked. They thought germs were transmitted by smells at one point.
