With how horrifically they handled Versus XIII/ XV, it wouldn't surprise me at all if FF7R ends up being scrapped 2 or 6 times before it has a set development team to finish it.
Or the first episode at least. Hahahahhahahahaha cries
I feel the remake needs to be done either N Sane style or R&C PS4 style. Square and Nomura are overthinking this, making this more complex than it actually is.

I forgot it's not even the full game, just the first part... Can't be that difficult, right? It's not even a full game or a completely new game. It's a 1/3 of a remake.
@BLP_Software Its not just him but yeah he probably should stay away from AAA games. Like I said basically he and Square have bit off more than they can chew with this remake.

Sony shouldn't allow this crap on their E3 stage, let alone participate with The Last Guardian and Until Dawn. Final Fantasy 7 Remake was 2015, the game should be coming out by now. This is ridiculous.
@Haru17 Just remember. The "Holy Trinity" of 2015 was reconfirmation of a game they announced 6 years prior for the following year, an announcement that doesnt even seem to have started development yet two years later, and a damn crowdfunding campaign.
At least all of the 2017 Holy Trinity for Nintendo are either new games, or at least funded and actually being made even if thr rffrct is largely the same. We KNOW we will see those on Switch.
And lets not get into KH3. THAT was 2013.
Sony should stop doing this. Like seriously. Because you end up with E3 2017 where your highlights are a remake of something already remastered and stuff you showed last year or god forbid prior.
Sony's E3 presentations the last few years have been less about sharing information and more about leveraging hype for temporary PR gains. Arguably the same reason Nintendo announced Pokemon Switch and Prime 4 at E3 before it had anything to show.
It definitely works: people wouldn't shut up about Sony's conference in 2015, and there has been a lot of excitement about Nintendo's video in 2017.
I feel like Prime 4 was fair since they didn't even show a trailer and Metroid fans were going to freaking explore if either no game was announced, or one of the games was announced without the other in sight. At the same rate I'm glad they helped out Shenmue fans see their story completed even if it was in a weird way. But yeah it's not ideal.
What were Nintendo's other two games? Pokemon: Damage Control Version and the second Metroid game?
And yes, KH3 and I believe VS XIII were on Sony's stage as well.
@Haru17 Announcing Pokemon for Switch in the Nintendo Spotlight was obviously because of Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon being revealed in the Pokemon Direct and Nintendo fans' massive want for Nintendo to kill off the 3DS already.
To be fair, the fact that they're still recruiting some people at this point doesn't necessarily tell you anything. They could already have 90% of the team filled and been working on it for the last few years and now they're just filling the gaps.
Squenix do seem to be terrible making AAA games fast though. They should've hired one of the devs who's capable of working on shorter time scales to handle something like the world design. Get Fromsoftware to design the world. They already know what it looks like. Just replicate the original in full 3D.
If they could make Bloodborne and DS3 a year apart, they can handle the FF7 world (I realise those weren't all done within a year, they were overlapping)
