It's a service that will allow you to play Playstation games, without having a Playstation. In conclusion, PS games will be multiplatform. I'll be able to play The Last of Us on my tablet, but I still don't really want to, so never mind.

Not only that, but it will be on non-Sony devices, too. So your OUYA might be playing The Last of Us, Netflix style, without even having a PS console, if you so choose.

Playstation Now sounds too good to be true. I hope it works out well. I wonder which companies will actually suffer from it and if the quality of streaming goes smooth for everybody.
Its a great idea. Really great concept.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Considering that Netflix can just be awful at times, streaming games doesn't seem like it's going to work out very well.
Downloading games is fine because if your internet is just the worst, it'll take a while to download. If you're streaming, your game will be a choppy, laggy mess. And what if PSN gets hacked or goes down? Can you still stream your games?
Maybe in the future when server farms are underground everywhere, but not now. Not in my opinion anyway...
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
I have used Onlive before. Got a free code for I think the first Trine on it. It worked pretty well.
(Certainly much better than my 30ms (At 720p or 1080p) plasma connected to a Wii over component for VC games).
Trying to give a bit of context. I had lots of trouble playing Super Mario RPG on my Plasma (Which I cannot find any LCD at all I like better). The timing was too far behind for me to be able to play it properly. I would have expected onlive to have been like that but it wasn't.
(Onlive were the first to try this sort of thing).
And Sony cannot be trusted to not axe the whole thing at any time. (Like the Xperia Play PSone games that got the first batch and then no more).

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
One one hand, it is a groundbreaking an innovative service sure to change the landscape of gaming.
On the other hand, it's not quite what I was looking for and it didn't convince me to buy a PS4. If you intend to use this service to play full PS3 games, you're going to need a great constant internet connection and no bandwidth caps, something that the majority of console owners don't have at this time. It's also going to result in a lot of double-dipping for those with a sizable PS3 library and is certainly not a satisfying replacement for downloadable PS1 and PS2 classics on PS4. I would take download service over streaming any day.
Definitely a service designed for consumers who don't own a Sony console or software library of their own. It begs the question though, if you don't own a Sony console, are you really interested in Sony games?
It's still very early though and I'm sure Sony will adapt. Hopefully at some point, there will be a download option and a way to "register" your owned PS3 titles to access them for free on Playstation Now.
