Topic: Possibly getting an X360 arcade soon!

I have wanted an Xbox for a while now and I have gotten a deal. My parents said they'll pay half if I pay half.

So I think I might trade in my PS2 and 3 or 4 games. How much money will that net me?

Arcade only costs $200 and it doesn't have a harddrive. The most memory it has is a 256mb OS.

Yeah skip the arcade and the one with a hard drive I know its a little bit more but in the end you will be happy with the harddrive. You cant download demos, put music on your system or save games without the harddrive. I dont even know why they offer the arcade without the harddrive.

Don't they have a 4GB version now for about that price? It's not a lot of space but depending on your needs you might want to just go that route (although it depends on how much stuff you might want).

yeah, I'm gonna buy the 4g because I don't play online. No router.

Remember that it is only the new models that have the wireless device built in, otherwise it is about $100 for wireless.

Okay about 27 bucks plus another 24 is about 50 bucks. Halfway there. I think that it's 200 for the 4g so I'll get that definitely.

I don't need to buy any extra controllers, but what about a game?

I'm thinking about Halo: Reach but I'm not sure I can get it. Any good teen-rated shooters on X360?

the sad truth is that the vast majority of great games for the 360 are M rated. at least in the shooter category.

BTW you can totally save games without the harddrive. the game has a 256mb internal storage, which is fine for saved games. if you don't play online, i'd get the arcade. I used the internal memory for a year before I caved and bought a hard drive so I could play online. you can always pick up a used hard drive for cheap if you decide you want it later.

Also, you can probably pick up a descent used 360 controller for less than $30 (I picked up a wireless a week ago for $25). Just make sure to test all the buttons to make sure they "click right" and see if you will be able to return it in case of a fault.

nah, I don't need more than one. Besides I need to buy Reach because the new one doesn't come with any games.

Or is Hexic bundled with it?
