Topic: Dreamcast Games ARE Coming to PS3/360!

Im really excited about this one. My hands on time with Dreamcast has been so limited. Ive played Crazy Taxi a bit, but mostly Ive just seen a few bits and pieces of Shenmue and played lots of Soul Calibur. Im really excited about this one. And no matter how average the Sonic Adventure game is, Im buying and beating it as Ive never owned a Dreamcast game, and it will be my first one

This is awesome news. I still hope I can get my Dreamcast fixed, but if that doesn't happen, the PS3 DL route may be the way to go for me (my BF has one). For the SA games, I'd rather play them on the original system for the VMU (even though the batteries die so quickly, and it's not like I'd ever actually really play chao adventure), but I just like to keep all my only mildly useful features for games intact. For games that don't really use the VMU route, I may buy them here instead of the original copy, seeing as my bro and I will have to split the games. Or just wait, since they'll probably be on the Wii2 as well.

Thats either a shopped pic or from a hacked Xbox... or something. Can you clarify that pic for us? I mean, Sonic 4 with 10 achievement points? How?

I hope some of the Dreamcast games come to 360. I really have been wanting to play Soul Caliber I have all the others (Soul Blaze for PSone, Soul Caliber 2 for Gamecube, Soul Caliber 3 for PS2, and Soul Caliber IV for 360) but I have never played Soul Caliber.

Is it worth getting a Dreamcast on Ebay or a used game shop? I passed on the DC and went with the Gamecube and PS2 since I was mad at Sega for the Saturn but now I see some of the games that were exclusive and I am sorry that I didnt get one when they were out.

You can get SoulCalibur on XBLA already for 800msp, if I'm not mistaken. It's the coin-op version, so it's missing a couple things such as battle mode, etc...

its from japan they already got it and plus it was taken from a sega worker

@mecoy: What? First...Japan doesn't already have an unfinished game. Second, it's in FRENCH, not Japanese. The SEGA employee part is possible, but unproven. It's also possible that it's a shot from the much-maligned PartnerNET system, about which I understand little, but I DO know it's accredited with quite a few leaks such as this.

And, for those not in the know, Sonic 4 was leaked IN ENTIRITY a month or so ago. I referred to that in my previous post in this thread. It did require a hacked system to play, but it was complete with Achievements and everything.

Jet Set Radio (Jet Grind Radio in the U.S.) was one of the premier Dreamcast titles during the console’s short lifespan. The scuttlebutt is that the rollerblading, graffiti-tagging action may be on its way to the Xbox Live Arcade.

Destructoid stumbled across this image on a website (in a language I don't know), which points to the game’s existence. Though the image of Sonic 4 Episode 1 sitting in a 360 dashboard is immediately hypnotizing, casting your eyes one slot downward reveals the unmistakable Jet Set Radio logo. Could an HD update of the game be on the way?

With Sega’s recent restructuring to focus on digital titles, an HD update of the oft-overlooked title seems like a probability. I would love to see this happen. An HD update to Jet Set Radio’s gorgeous cel-shaded graphics would look amazing.

Not quite. Dreamcast games won't be treated as PS1 games but as PSN games. Probably with trophy enhancement.

This sounds cool and may make ps3 more more attractive for me but dreamcasts are fairly easy to come by and fairly inexpensive. Also, they accept burned games pretty easily. The vmu doesn't need any power as long as its in the controller afaik.

Still, its pretty good news and will spur some more interest in the dreamcast.

You forgot to post a link, Slappy. Besides which, it's off-topic (Genesis instead of Dreamcast) and not even exciting news (the game is already part of the much-better-value Sonic's UGC on PS3).

To be ON topic would be to mention how SEGA announced a few weeks ago that Dreamcast games are OFFICIALLY coming to XBLA and PSN, starting with Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi. Not that we haven't already covered that elsewhere, of course.

I'd really want a Jet Set sequel, hopefully the sales of a JGR would convince SEGA to make one? ...yea right, they won't listen to the fanbase or they'd ruin it. Oh well, I'll buy JGR if/when it rereleases anyways.

Panzer Dragoon? As in the Sega Saturn game? There were no Panzer Dragoon games for the Dreamcast, last I checked.

Also, I'm glad to hear Jet Set Grind's coming to XBLA as well. Now I won't have to hunt it down for my Dreamcast.

This is good news, but I lack a PS3 and 360! Oh, well. It's nice to have the Dreamcast games return!
