@kkslider5552000 if it is a arcade game what the chance of it getting ported.
Pretty decent if they added more than a few characters. The way the first Arena ended lent for a sequel that was either going to be Persona 5 or a new Arena game.
WAT!

@kkslider: true, the test locations are in arcades, but since the first Persona 4 Arena game was not only for JP arcades but also wound up on PS3 and 360 for JP, NA, and EU, i don't see why this wouldn't have a decent shot at doing so as well.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

I'm just pretending that can't happen the same I'm pretending this counts as a new game.
Hmmm... Can't decide if OP is secretly basically saying look at how wonderful this is going to look on my PS4?? or if he's saying.. wow look at that.. oh and notice how there is no Wii U mentioned?? LOL.. anywho... it looks good.. and it's a arcade game they are doing test runs in Japan... looks awesome..
I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...
Junpei? Day one buy! Here's to me hoping for a NA PS3 / PS4 release (Seems pretty likely though, fortunately for me ) As for a U version, for better or for worse, considering it's current record with 3rd party games, I highly doubt it.
Also, IMHO, the thread should probably be called "Atlus announces new Persona fighting game"
Arc System Works' rather excellent 2D brawler, Persona 4 Arena, is set to get a sequel, according to popular Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu.
Apparently the follow-up will add two new fighters cherry-picked from Persona 3, in the shape of Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori. Each has their own unique fighting style and a new character design, with Yukari Takeba a fast character armed with a bow, while Junpei Iori is a power-type character armed with a bat.
Existing characters will be graced with new moves and skills, while you'll also be able to choose between Normal or Shadow type fighters, with the former giving you Bursts to play with and the latter giving you the Shadow Rage ability, allowing for temporary unlimited use of SP skills, Skill Boosts and more for combos. Charged special moves are also in.
We'll have more on the Persona 4 Arena's follow up as we get it.
