So is anyone familiar with tunnelling software? I'm pretty sure there aren't any that are 3DS compatible at the moment, but if someone finds one, we could play the 3DS version online. Also, can I join?
I can guess I can speak for everyone when I say the more the merrier, but I'm unsure on whether or not that method (if it you can make it work with the 3DS) will be able to connect to Wii Us... But keep us posted!
I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but for the 3DS and WiiU to communicate, their protocols have to be very similar, if not the same, right? So in theory if you could get it to work you could have them both go local, the tunnel works its magic, and boom. It's as though you were doing 3DS-WiiU local co-op, but thanks to the tunnel, you'd be online.
Well, in that case, the Wii U user would have to be in local... with the tunnel as well? And since the Wii U's can't do local with each other...
I would think that would only work with one Wii U and multiple 3DS'... but hey, it's something.

Yeah, that's the only problem I'm seeing. Well that and the fact that to my knowledge, it's never been EFFECTIVLY tunneled. The xlinkai team fiddled with the DS for a while but it was too buggy. The problem is Nintendo doesn't let old packets in, and the few milliseconds it takes to transmit your data could prove fatal to the connection as the packets are timestamped.
Are MH3U's servers split into EU and NA like Tri, or are they combined? I'd be up for joining in with this provided that the servers are combined. I used to play in the EU servers of Tri with people from this forum (a long time ago, I recently got back into Tri after a 2 and a half year hiatus to try and beat Alatreon), but that thread's been dead for a while now.

Why would I buy a $300 WiiU+$60 game when I can get the same game for a system I already have? The ONLY reason the WiiU version even exists is so you'd have to pay an extra 20 bucks just to go online. Capcom is just trying to screw everyone over. I still plan to get a WiiU, but it won't be any time soon and I won't be getting the WiiU version.

So I've gone from HR50 no Alatreons and no Deviljhos to 2 Alatreons and 5 Deviljho on Tri. Now I feel like I'll be ready for Ultimate when it comes along
I'm especially looking forward to trying out all the weapons they cut from Tri (Dual Swords and Hunting Horn in particular, but Gunlance and Bow seem cool), since I never owned any of the PSP games.
Well, due to Dark Moon coming out a few days later after Ultimate, getting the Wii U version. Although I probably won't go online as much, guess I'll let NL users know anyways. Don't think anyone has added me on Miiverse yet...(same name there, btw)
I usually won't take in random adds, but if you want to talk every now and then there then I probably won't mind.
