Topic: (EU) Conduit 2 Online Matches

It's come to my attention that Conduit 2 is region-locked, so EU guys and gals, get your game on in here.

I doubt we're gonna get many EU Conduit 2 owners on here. XD

I'll add mine if I can get around to buying it... but with the 3DS eating up my life, I don't think that will be coming any time soon.

Also, why would they region lock this? Surely they would've known that most FPS fans are in America, right?

I think that this only happens when Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection servers are not being used. Monster Hunter Tri doesn't use it and NA players cannot play with EU. Same thing with this one. The first Conduit game had 'Worldwide' as an option but is evidently absent from Conduit 2.

So, yeah. Guess it's because NWFC isn't being used for the game.

Maybe... but the Black Ops servers aren't going through Wi-Fi Connection but that's still worldwide. Also Mario Sports Mix uses Wi-Fi but that's region locked too. I really don't see the point in region-locking an online video game, I mean what is region-locking protecting you from? Could well be the lag on the servers, haha.

Ah, could be. Or they might not want to spend extra money having both regions share a server? I dunno.

Surely it would be cheaper having one big server than 2 or more individual servers? That just means more work.But its too late now... just have to put up with it I suppose.

I'll post my Friend Code, don't really see the point though... doesn't seem many people own it on here, from EU anyways. :/
I might get the headset at some point, hopefully its fairly cheap.

That's one of the main reasons I stayed away from this game. I wouldn't be able to add a lot of my friends/clan members from GoldenEye.

is it just me or are half the friend codes in this thread invalid? or is that because of the region?

Doesn't seem many EU NLers bought this game then. Its an amazing game, the campaign is a snooze fest, but the multiplayer shines brightly. Its well structured and is a top-notch Wii FPS.

I don't think NLs review reflected the good points of C2 very well. Just wish this game wasn't region locked.

I suck. And the controls feel sluggish as hell. Walk speed too slow and run dont last long enough. And quit jumping.

On the last game I just did punching, I thought I was going to die a tonne. And I made you swear? Lol!

Death by flying punch. I bought the metal legs and I still couldnt out run you, and my controls are too sensetive at the mo so I cant move it finely enough to aim acurately. I think I sit too close to the tv for shooters. Will see if I can refine things a little. Will try again, but I have no chance against you, you are too good.

It's because your wearing Heavy Armor, it decreases your run speed and run length. Also I saw you were wearing Light Armor, there's no point in wearing Light Armor when you have Heavy Armor, instead you should put Improved Ballistics Damage (if you have it) so you can increase the damage from your SCAR/MP5.

Also, you can increase your speed by running with the USP45. Also I am pretty bad against randoms online, they all seem to have Stealth and/or spam me down. It was quite a laugh playing with you, not because you suck but because you just stood there most of the time and when I flashed you, you ran away lol.
