Topic: We could seriously use some folders right now

I know this has been said before but it took me over a minute to find a game in my library earlier today, and it is because the game selection menu is just a total unorganized mess. At the very least if they were able to let us sort stuff alphabetically it wouldn't be so bad, but this whole last used/updated system they use is just terrible.

The system has been out for a while now, it has a ton of games, and I am sure I am not the only person who feels like it can be hard to find what I am looking for at times. If they added folders this could be fixed instantly. I have no idea why such a simple UI improvement is taking so long.

@JayJ: I would love to put games that I have completed in a completed folder, games I need to start playing in a start playing folder, etc. I don't have a huge library of Switch games (I think like 22 at the moment) but, it would still be a nice touch. However, after 5 "major" updates I don't think I'll be able to do that anytime soon.

@Executer66 Yeah they haven't really added anything worthwhile in the way of updates since the system launched.

Yep,it is much needed. With demos included ,I have 165 tiles now on my Switch. I also spent over 1 minute looking for a game the other day. I was thinking it was gone and even went onto the Eshop to see if I needed to download it again.

FOLDERS! Yes please. I need to be able to organize my Neo Geo games.

@OorWullie I have been there myself, I was like "did I delete this game somehow" only to eventually find it after going through all my games a couple times.

@SuperWeird I am right there with you. I love to collect the ACA games and I like to organize my games by console/category/genre when I have folders. Right now my 3DS and PS4 games are all neatly organized, I wish I could say for the same for my Switch.

I only have 6 games/demos in total, but is it like PS4 where there are about 10 tiles and the last one takes you to a library? Or is it an endless row of tiles with all your games?

Mew

@Octane There's a library button at the end of a certain amount, yeah.

@Mew How many games is it? If it's like ten, it's not a big issue I think.

Octane

Mew

@Octane Somewhere around that. I can't remember an exact number, but it's not TOO much.

@Mew Well, then I can live with the current setup

I'm only at four games if I delete the demos, I wonder how long it's going to take before I reach that number lol.

Mew

@Octane I have.. around, like.. thirty?? I think? And I've never had issues with finding specific games. Usually took me like ten seconds at the longest.

Folders should be a normal thing for the menu. But if they can't/don't add it, just implement a simple search engine for example by alphabet. That should already save some time instead of last played first.

Also the eShop is terrible with so many games. Come in Nintendo, this shouldn't be a lot of work to implement.

I agree, Switch would really need a way to manually organize games

I'm usually in the "I'm chill and I'll let them update the GUI when they feel like it" camp, but yeah...starting to long for folders.

Folders and the option for the All Software screen to be the main screen would be nice. Games don't update if they're not in the 12 most recent slots at the moment.

Atleast there's search option in eShop, why not in library then.

It all started from Game&Watch.
