Wow - what a game. Just beat it, took about 60 hours, maybe a little more. The rare game where I was at the end but didn't want it to end and instead just ran around the map some more making sure I did absolutely everything. And I did do everything! Beat the Coliseum. Restored and staffed every town. Got the whole map. Every quest.

Seriously a must-play for any strategy fan, yes even people like me who are more FF Tactics/Tactics Ogre/Triangle Strategy fans. Yes - I, too, was initially repulsed when I played the demo and felt like I wasn't actually controlling anything. But you gotta give the game a chance to show you where its gameplay and strategy opens up. Trust me. A game like this only comes around every few years.

@rallydefault did you do the post game battle? The long Zenoria battle (I don’t remember the name of the quest) that throws everyone at you? I love that they give you all these new units to train up and likely take online.

@rallydefault I also felt like I didn't want it to end when I got to the end of it. Was almost tempted to do another playthrough (which isn't something I ever do) and probably would have if it wasn't for the billion other games I have sitting around waiting to be played.

Not yet - I’m walking around in Cornia post-game just talking to everyone. It’s like a whole other short story lol

How do I get to that battle?

@rallydefault when you leave Gran Corin it should give you a new quest. I am assuming you got the True Ending right?

Just bought this. It was on sale on VGP for under $40, so I decided to take the plunge.

Haven't tried the demo, and won't now. Pretty much every person whose opinion I trust re: strategy games on here seemed to love it, so I'll just go ahead and play the full game when it comes in (whenever that happens to be; it's backordered lol).

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Sorry, super late back to this: Yea, I got the true ending. I'm off on some other games now, though - might finally tackle Octopath 2, but first I'm taking a chance on Sakuna: Rice and Ruin.

@Ralizah
It's my most-played game so far this year, absolutely fantastic. I got nearly 60 hours out of it, and I haven't done a lot of the post-game stuff. Now, personally I still like Triangle Strategy a smidge more in terms of the strategy style, but this was fantastic and holds incredible depth for those who wants to spend hours and hours customizing their units and behavior conditions.

@rallydefault I loved Sakuna! Hope you enjoy it as well! Sadly the thread for it here is gone (I don’t dare make threads here anymore due to the mods being delete and lock happy) so I had considered remaking it when I was deep in the game but decided against it. I hope you can find good info on the internet.
