If anyone is looking for a casual multiplayer game I discommend overcooked. That game is not a lay back experience! You get a lot of tasks you have to do simultaneously and I can't handle a failed order. It's a lot of stress I honestly rather play Cuphead in that regard. But if you're looking for chaos in the kitchen this game is for you. I would wait for a discount though, the game is as overcooked as it is overpriced.

@LuckyLand @Krull thanks for the insights. I'll try to manage with Mario for the time being 😉 and when I'm ready for a new adventure/RPG I'll check some gameplay vids first. For 2D platformers I'll probably wait for all the first party fun arriving from spring onwards.

I finished BOTW and loved it, but then again, there isn't a Zelda game I haven't loved (the original is still my favorite though). Anyway, I've been playing Skyrim, but don't love it. I'd like something that's adventure plus some puzzles - I don't care about combat as much. I was looking at Rime, but a lot of the reviews said there are huge problems with the refresh rate etc. Anyone have any thoughts?

@Skoman I would recommend Wonderboy 3 Dragon's trap

I used to be a ripple user like you, then I took The Arrow in the knee

How many hours of content are in Steamworld Dig 2? My only hesitation with getting this game is I worry it's short. I just got done playing Stick it to the Man, and despite loving it's art style and humor, the game was too short. It needed to be at least twice the length.

@Fingeldor I got about 12 hours in one plathrough, and 20 for a completion run.

Hammerwatch on Switch is an awesome Gauntlet clone for up to 4 players on the one Switch.
Online play is incoming and it is a great game for some local co op madness.
Heaps of content too.
2 castles to play through and some great secrets to uncover.
I haven't even finished the first castle yet but I look forward to trying it.
Hard as nails and even on easy it will test you, especially in single player.
Highly recommend it.

Disgaea 5, Nights of Azure 2, or Fate/Extella? I am leaning towards Disgaea5, but any thoughts or recommendations are welcome. I was looking at The Last Five Minutes (when it releases), but I am not sure if it is worth the cost or its length?

Edit: Or should I wait for some of the newer stuff? Already have Dragon Quest Builders reserved, and Dark Souls.

@Imerzion I personally recommend super Mario odyssey! But if you really don't want that great game than I'd get splatoon 2 unless youre not going to do the paid online.

Imerzion

@Sharks Thanks, I was tempted at one point to pick up Odyssey, but paying close to £50.00 for a 15-20 hour game doesn’t really tempt me, regardless of hearing nothing but good things about it.

I actually went ahead and bought Xenoblade in the end, but Monster Hunter World is now eating up all of my time!

@Imerzion cool! Tell me if xblade 2 is any good. Also I got odyssey for Christmas I'm still playing! It really starts once you beat it.

@scubydo There's SO much stuff coming out just this month. DQB, Bayo 2, Payday, Last 5 Minutes, Fe.... Most hectic Feb I've seen on Nintendo maybe ever.

Disgaea5 is amazing.....and massive....and difficult. You're set for months with that one alone (If you like SRPGs.)

@Imerzion I've put 50 hours into Super Mario Odyssey and still haven't completed it. It will take you about 15 hours to complete the main story, but there is an immense amount of post-game content. This is a must-have for every Switch owner. But I guess if you only want things that'll give you hundreds of hours of gameplay that's cool too, but you really, really should give Mario Odyssey a shot. It's one of the best games of all time in my personal opinion.

Is there any word on how long The Longest Five Minutes might be?

@Scrummer I’ve never really been a massive fan of Mario in all honesty, so it’s not just the content alone that’s putting me off the game. Just not something that I would generally go for.

A friend of the family does own the game though so I could potentially borrow it some point down the line, but only when I’ve got the time! Thanks for the input though I do appreciate it and who knows, might end up being a favourite of mine one day.

So just upgraded my Switch's Memory Card to 128GB... is there any interesting eShop title that is in line with JRPG/Adventure kind?

(Do try to avoid recommending those on Steam though, like Night in the Woods, since I can get it for far cheaper there even without waiting for discounts)

@darkfenrir I've heard Lost Sphear is good. Personally, I'm not a JRPG guy, so I would just say look into it and see if it interests you.

@Scrummer guuu. Tried Lost Sphear's demo already and unfortunately I immediately close it, for myself. (Meanwhile Octopath interest me hard, rip Lost Sphear, I guess)

Thank you though

@darkfenrir No problem. And honestly, I did the same thing, but I figured it was just because I wasn't a JRPG guy. (As I previously mentioned.)

@Scrummer I feel it's just... the game didn't feel... "nice" for me, I guess? And I'm quite avid fun for JRPG.

And it's alright to not like a genre

Anything along the Adventure kind of things?
