Excuse me tea leaf, but Breath of the Wild is a Wii U game.

My launch copy of the game on the Switch says otherwise. It was originally planned as a Wii U game, but it's pretty clear they changed features and whatnot once Nintendo decided during development to release it on the Switch as well. So, it's a multiplat. But considering it established a significantly larger presence on the Switch than it did on the Wii U, it would make more sense, if anything, to think of it as Nintendo Switch game, just like people tend to think of Twilight Princess as a Wii game, and Persona 5 as a PS4 game.

Yeah Zelda Bad Breath is a WiiU game. Too bad Nintendo gimped it and took out gamepad ussage. Cant let the WiiU version outshine the Switch version with superiour controls.
Whatever.. the game is a mockery on the Zelda name. But WiiU outshines Switch in almost every way. It has BC, VC, apps, and Can even voice Chat without a mobile app, etc... Hell, Nintendo is killing off its Social as well cause Switch sits there and only plays games. I cant even send a simple message to any of my 40 Switch fwends yet on WiiU i can (for now)

Sorry, I'm probably getting too off-topic, but is it a mockery of the Zelda name because it isn't exactly like the originals? I'm just thinking there's a difference between "I think the game is a mockery of the Zelda name" Stating an opinion, then stating it like a fact.

I never said otherwise. Infact in that bit you quoted I said: "The Wii U is the console of a lot of great multiplayer releases and a fantastic Zelda game that arrived as it was being kicked out the door"

I never said that it wasn't a Wii U game. I just said that the Gamecube had Metroid Prime and Wind Waker, the Wii had Mario Galaxy and two Zeldas, the Switch has Breath of the Wild, Odyssey and Prime 4. All massive, GOTW material, single player AAA releases. The Wii U by comparison had fantastic games but they were mostly multiplayer focused until BotW which launched alongside the last nail in the coffin.

What I was saying was that in isolation, with zero context or timing, the Wii U's library is great. But when you look at it in context? Not so much. I can understand why someone might want to go out and get a Gamecube for its games. I don't understand why someone thinking the same of the Wii U wouldn't get a 3DS or Switch instead.

It'd be nice to see a Pikmin collection come along when Pikmin 4 is ready.
And bring Yoshis Wooly World before new Yoshi comes, but maybe not since it already got a 3DS version.

Xenoblade Chronicles HD DX
Skyward Sword HD DX
Super Mario Maker DX

I would love to see those games on the Switch.

I'd rather see them just do simple ports for all the games.
Nothing fancy, don't add anything, just get it on there, considering the few people that actually bought WiiU.
In terms of profits, it's a lot smarter, the major demographic of Switch buyers don't need an incentive to buy those games considering how unlikely it is that they have already played them. Only a major title like Super Smash should be remade or just get a sequel.

Yep, I don't need a Deluxe-Switch-version of Paper Mario Color Splash, Bayonetta 1+2, or Tokyo Mirage Sessions. A simple port would be good enough for me to buy day one. (I have 300 games on my Wii U, and cannot download anymore without deleting old games first).

For Smash and Mario Maker though, I expect more than just a simple port.

Depending on if Sakurai is up to smash 5 or not I could see a deluxe port of smash 4 happening (if they could update smash run to wiiu/switch graphics and merge in all the stages that would be unexpected but fantastic) Atlus may want to increase its ROI and port #FE which is really really good (back to working on it again) and it is a shame people let that one die (I did my part...I own it twice). Other than that I would see Nintendo doing more sequels (they got lucky with the arcade difference in pokken to push a deluxe edition- I'm grateful now mind you) but not sure what else they would bring over otherwise in lieu of making a new game. If platinum made a sequel of its games I could see them porting the previous entries but that is it.

What I would love to see is devs that have a strong non Nintendo library to port over (which is starting to happen so yay!). Vanillaware for example. I would love their whole catalog on switch and I would gladly doubledip.
